Questions: 1. Do you regularly have this exam? 2. For men over 40, do you get the testicle exam and prostate? If yes, is your PCP a male or female doctor? I'm due for my annual check and I was told that for guys over 40 will get the above extra check and I'm not sure if I would go to my femal PCP. I'm kind of shy to show her my ballz. Thanks.
I go to a woman internist so if I get a chubby from my prostate exam I don't feel gay. takes 1 second, no big deal
Have not seen a doctor in years. But, if I was going to get such an exam, I'd at least find the hottest doctor I could find.

I have a female PCP and freely let her handle my testes and perform the prostate exam. The odd thing is that I'm only 31 so I don't really need it yet.
I had a complete physical two years ago (I'm 41). They did bloodwork and said that it's not necessary to go up my butt if they're doing bloodwork (supposedly, the bloodwork can provide the same test results).
Yes and no. If you have a family history of prostate issues, they still recommend the digital exam. The blood test can be effective, but it's not as accurate. *sigh* unforunately I do have a family history of prostate issues. Only 37 though so I still have 3 years before I am going to get the full exams. My PCP is a female, but I've seen her for too long to feel comfortable having her do those exams.
Have you never had a physical before? I mean, I haven't had one since jr. high basketball, but from my recollection it wasn't an arousing situation in the least (even as a hormonal 14 year old, with a woman dr). Maybe if the doc was really attractive, i don't know. Either way it's going to be uncomfortable...so as long as you don't plan on asking the female doc out anytime soon and have a small package, I think I'd rather have the female.
it's not about the package. it's the woman's touch. I remember when I was getting circumcised when i was 9 years old, the nurses were laughing cuz it really respecfully rose up like what gentelmen do when they meet women. so the surgery got delayed a bit because they would not inject the anesthesia to an erect cucumber.
I pondered that question earlier this year. Since I was tired of having old dude fingers on my privates, I went with a lady this time. My observations: 1. Lady fingers feel much better. 2. She wasn't hot. 3. I wasn't embarrassed 4. I didn't catch a boner with her. I got a rager two weeks later with the ultrasound chick though. 5. Did I mention lady fingers feel better? My final conclusion, although she was highly competent...Im going back to the old dude as my PCP. I see it like this, to really understand and diagnose dude problems, it takes a dude.
