I know... the way they've been hitting, they should be 10 games UNDER .500. ;)

Bruntlett takes advantage of our hitter's park... hey, he's a Gary Gaetti product too.

Get that guy UP HERE! Spilman is awful (btw, they corrected Hidalgo's swing in NY in under 3 days, and he's already hit a monster HR for them today... the NY paper said that it was an easily correctable flaw... ugh.)

I don't know about that flaw. If it's true.....DAMN! What's up with our hitting coach....

Damn Viz is hot!!!! Double by Viz!

Oh yea, and the reason I find it hard to believe how bad our record is right now, because last time I watched a game we were 11 or so games over .500

I think we were 21-10. And now this. Not a nice way to return home.

those are the kinds of things i hate reading. If the astros keep up their current pace i don't see Speilman lasting through the week. The Astros certainly have the talent, no reason why they can't hit.

The Bats are suddenly alive!! Glad I turned on the tv. Now let the winning streak begin! We are a good team when I watch! :p

Men on the corners. 2 outs. Kent up to bat!

Get a hit Kent! Slash out that RBI error you had earlier! You can do it!

CBS Sportsline just gave this description of Bagwell's Ab:

Bagwell reached on an infield single, on shortstop Erstad´s fielding error.

Huh? If it's an error, there's no single. And Erstad is playing first. Good job, CBS

I think it has something to do with the MLB and prostate cancer week. For every home run hit, something like 25 or 35,000 is donated towards prostate cancer research. As of yesterday they were over the 2.5 million mark for the week.

    ROLL CALL:

Who here is holding his (or her) breath as Dotel warms up in the bullpen?

    I know I am....

Normally, I would be... but since Lidge wasn't lights out in the top half, there's really no other options.

Now, had Lidge had another typical 1-2-3, 8-pitch, inning... I'd be nervous simply because its Jimy changing pitchers just so Dotel can get the save statistic next to his name.

WHOOO. I was holding my breath for a minute. Glad he got the job done.

Way to go Stros! We take 2-3, and now it's time to start a winning streak!

There is no way in hell the Astros will play as bad as they did in May and early June. Now that I am back and watching, the Stros can't ever be that bad again.

Let's go Stros! Root for the Good Guys.

Forget about changing the hitting coach, and Pettite's injury... YOU were the missing link. ;)

We need to sweep the hell outta Pittsburgh next week. I'm serious... I don't want 3 out of 4... I want a sweep, and a blowout in each and every game. Then, we go up to Dallas and score no less than 10 runs in each of those games (also, thank goodness Clemens doesn't have to face them.... he hasn't been doin to well, and the Rangers can rake it).

Its time for this team to take out some serious frustrations on some poor pitchers... starting with a guy they don't normally hit hard (Fogg).

And in the top half of each inning, Ausmus, Berkman and Kent will be in the clubhouse continuing their cancer-cure research.

Each with one hand tied behind his back.

While singing "I am the very model of a modern major general...".

    But it would be nice.
