Unfortunately it probably isn't serious, but with Bynum's history, you never know.

If the world were fair, he'd need a robot foot to recover. Yao Ming is such a dick though, he had it coming..

What did the Lakers ever do to anybody?

SUCK IT. I hate Bynum and I hate the Lakers. I dont want him to done for the season cause then the Lakers can move on. I want him to be in and out from here on in. Plays for few games then he is out again with injury, then comes back again only to get injured again. This type of nagging injury will hurt the Lakers.

what's crazy is "at this point" bynum is only 23 years old still! it seems like he's been around for a decade already but he's barely as old now as yao was when he entered the league. yao didn't kick the injuries into overdrive until about 25.

I usually don't wish injury on players, but after seeing what a cheap shot artist Bynum is, I really wouldn't feel bad for him if he missed the playoffs again this year.

EXACTLY.. He seems a lot older because of his injuries. It doesn't matter how old you since it is beginning to seem like Bynum's years in this league are numbered. Look at Greg Oden. He keeps re injuring the same knee he had surgery on. Not a good sign.

Not a huge shocker here, but you have to think about matchups in the playoffs when you think about whether Bynum will be the reason for losing or winning it all.

There are really only a few contending teams that you really need that size to match up with. Other teams you are actually more productive with Odom getting more minutes, however I would have serious concerns about their bench. Regardless I hope they lose, just not to the Spurs.

    West-
Vs. The Spurs - 50/50. Duncan needs to turn back the clock a bit and play huge.
    Vs. The Mavs - Win
    Vs. The Thunder - Lose*
    Vs. The Blazers - Win
    Vs. The Grizzlies - Win
    Vs. The Hornets - Win
Vs. The Nuggets - LA favored, but Nuggets could shock them

    East-
Vs. The Celtics - Win, With no Perkins, things open up alot inside for Pau.
    Vs. The Bulls- Lose*
Vs. The Heat- Win, but could upset if they get hot. LA's perimeter defense can cause headaches at times for Wade/Lebron.
    Vs. The Knicks - Win
    Vs. The Pacers- Win
Vs. The Magic- Win, but if Orlando pulls it together and gets good quick, they have this matchup in the post.
    Vs. The Sixers- Win

-Right now I see the Thunder and the Bulls as the two teams that pose the biggest threats to LA winning it all again without Bynumb. The Thunder with their length, athleticism, and overall defense they can play, PLUS the play of Westbrook can be a matchup nightmare for the Lakers. Im rooting for them to suprise people and come out of the West.

The Bulls are a better matchup for LA when considering size in the Post, however their defense is soo good on the perimeter that I have a hard time believing they cant give bust up the triangle and cause nightmares for them on defense. Plus on offense... they have Rose... Enough said on that one.

Don't quote me yet but I heard his doctor said to sit out the entire playoffs for his safety.

It's not about the Lakers matching up with other teams. It's about other teams matching up with the Lakers. With Bynum, they have a huge edge no teams can match, perhaps with the exception of the Celtics before they got rid of Perkins. Without Bynum, they are just an "ordinary" one-two punch with Kobe and Gasol, depending on if Odom shows up or not. Bynum gives them the luxury of bringing Odom off the bench. How many teams have three skilled big men in their disposal?

Not to mention the defensive presence of Bynum is very underrated.

I understand and agree with what you say however they still have the ability to win alot of series' with no Bynum depending on matchups. I just wouldnt automatically say they will be a first round exit.
