i havnt read the other pages of this thread but frankly im tired of hearing that 'andre got robbed'... alot of people dont understand the dunk contest...its a lose lose situation for the nba. option 1: if u miss a a dunk, ur out of the competition although u do get to replace ONE dunk. - this situation just causes for boring dunks. players are going to be too cautious like years past and not show anything different. too safe to make sure they dont miss = boring option 2: (this years)keep going till they make the dunk they want. this allows for the players to be alot more creative since the missed dunks are NOT SUPPOSED TO COUNT againt you. - u have a situation like this year where 1 guy gets alot of attempts for ONE dunk, it also becomes boring. personally id rather see some crazy attempts just tied at and think of the possibilites rather than see the same dunks every year because the dunkers are scared. nothing is perfect in the world so u have to pick ur peas, so to speak. either 1 of them could of won the dunk contest, both had crazy dunks. AI emptied his bag too early and nate missed too many........oh well. congrats to both of them for adding more flare to the contest this year than its had in a while...in my opinion.
Nobody put a 10 up and put it back down. I think it was Elvin that put a 10 up then down and back up, but he never switched off the 10 though, neither did any of the other judges. I went back and watched it on DVR to see if someone took away the 10 after it was suggested. It appeared that Kenny and Elvin both thought everyne had seen the scores long enough and started to put them down. Then they looked and saw all the other judges still holding their scores up and put theirs back up. The exact same numbers as before. You'll see when they play the replay a million times.
