I just got an XBOX. I thought the XBOX came with memory built in to the system but I saw that a memory unit can be bought seperately. Do you have to have the memory unit to save games or is it just an extra storage unit??? I want to get NCAA Football 2003 but I saw on the back of the game a memory unit label. Does that mean I need one to save games or what?

No...you don't need one. The xbox has a hard drive to save games to. You only want one to use as an extra storage device and/or for traveling with your saved games to a friend's house. You can also save your xbox live tag info and log on to xbox live from your friend's xbox...if you have xbox live.

Yea, you dont need one at all. I have used over 3,000 blocks on my harddrive and it STILLS say that it has over 50,000 blocks. I hear its a 10 gig, partioned as an 8 gig, so the number of saves is endless. Be sure to get Xbox Live, lots of fun there!

If you swap out the drive for a 100 gig drive, you will never, ever, ever have to worry about memory (unless you mod your box and rip the games, but surely no one would do that here).
