I wonder how he feels about Artest. Clutch was mentioning some problems with Artest, assumed he'd be traded... Interesting.
i'm sure he means mcgrady as one which makes some sense as he's the co-superstar, but anything outside of that is just preposterous conjecture. i seriously doubt yao gives a rat's ass about the practice habits of the likes of von wafer and joey dorsey and even if it's the case, he's not dumb enough to turn down a max offer expecting to find a fine tuned boot camp elsewhere. it's very possible yao hasn't accepted an extension for other reasons, but i find it hard to believe the cause is the one given in this thread.
imo, could be that he simply wants to leave some options open. many players do, i mean duncan didn't immediately sign the big extension with spurs back then even though he was winning with them and he could have financial security. obviously, duncan actually won something and is a better player but the comparison is valid to a certain extent with yao
i assume that les attempted to make a move from gundy ball to a "faster-paced" brand ball might have something to do with yao's mind?
1. Win Championship 2. Spend whole career in one team and never win championship you choose AI, KG etc...life is short
I think there's probably about a 94% chance Yao re-signs with the Rockets. Yao already has about a billion dollars and he's a very loyal person. I absolutely think he wants to win a ring, but there are not many better options out there for him than Houston, particularly options that want to take on his supermax contract. If Yao enters the free agent pool of 2010, he'll be little more than a consolation prize for a team that can't land Lebron et al.
well if the rockets are really scared that he might leave after next year, they might consider a trade this summer. imagine tmac's ending contract and yao being traded in the same summer? i'd start with yao to GSW for biedrins and ellis.
I've actually seen the menu at Yao's. I don't think most Chinese people would actually enjoy the food there. I think he opened the restaurant as purely a business venture.
honestly i think Yao is still upset that the team traded Francis not once but twice. Granted that he may not have been contributing to the team the second go-around but you could always tell Yao was always happy with him. not saying that was the reason why Yao turned down two max extensions, but i am sure he wasnt happy that the team bent over backwards the second time around to get rid of him. I am sure he is probably much more upset at Tmac and his antics and probably upset that Tmac doesnt put in the same effort he does when it comes to training and improving
