Does anyone here have any experience or genuine thoughts on being a part of the Amway IBO? It is basically a MLM strategy where you pretty much own your own business. I have a guy who is trying to sell me into this and despite being skeptical, I am almost sold. There are plenty of reviews online both good and bad as expected so I am trying to be as objective as possible. Anyone with personal experience regarding this? I will appreciate any feedback.
Worst possible MLM venture imaginable. % of participants that make a return is lower than 1% which is less than the 2% industry standard. MLM reviews online are a lot of fake, seemingly third party sites that give reviews to whoever they run with or foots the bill. Also, SEO is probably bigger in MLM than anywhere else so anything real is generally buried. Never look at reviews when researching an MLM - also, never get involved with an MLM. There's a major MLM conference in Houston every year. Go check it out. Tons of industry heavyweights go. They'll all tell you the same thing - stay away from Amway. I worked corporate MLM for awhile. Seen it all. Crazy game to play. Don't play it unless you're genuinely crazy. No joke, the 2% that succeed are completely psycho. Just look at Scientology as an example.
All you need to know. I had parents in Amway for like 10 years. EVERY WORD of this video is 100% true, my parents got out and were smarter than a lot of the people in this video (thank god). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot31XhgE_XE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgnvMfDu47c&feature=relmfu
a guy tried to get me to leave my good paying job back in the day. I had a lunch appointment with him. He was being elusive with what he did until I said, if this is an amway scam, I'm going to beat your ass. He left immediately after that. It turned out that's exactly what it was. A big pyramid ponzi scheme.
MLM is legal (in America) and a couple of big name companies actually started off using the business model. Ponzi isn't legal. You could earn $1,000,000 a month running an Amway business. You wont. But you could.
Speaking of MLM... how many of you guys have been approached about Advocare? I've had a couple pitches in just a couple weeks. I always feel sad for these people.
Seems to be burning up my Facebook feed lately. What's crazy is 3 of the people I see posting about it have lost a ton of weight using the product. Maybe it actually works? Either way, MLM jockey is still a sad existence.
The advice, food, supplements, and vitamins are good from what I can tell. But still, you can get all that stuff without being involved in the whole MLM mess.
i've been getting inundated with invites to business opportunities for Organo Gold, World's Best Coffee on my facebook feed.
Join it. Quit your job and remove all loved ones from your life because they wont support you. All you need is a landing page and an ad on Craigslist. Lemme know when you're a millionaire.
Yes, but there is a monthly membership fee. You can get the products CHEAPER than Amway sells to you on Amazon. Essentially those people selling on Amazon are selling @ a loss in order to get the "IBO Benefits"
