There is a reason the Knicks are begging other teams to take him off their hands for nothing in return. I'm trying to think of another trade that would be worse, but I can't come up with anything.

May be 5 years ago. For now, it is a resounding No! 65 Millions contract with a broken body!

six years ago this would have been a nice addition. Now, he is just an Alcatraz, not to be confused with albatross. You can't escape his bad knees or bad contract.

NY would love to get rip of Amare. They even offer some cash if someone take him off their roaster.

Amare was probably my least favorite Knick the last couple of years. He doesn't even try on defense and is just a big diva. The Knicks were better with Novak and even Josh Harrelson on the floor than Amare.

Funny you should say that, according to a new report, the Knicks made Stoudemire available for free to every team in the league.

    No takers.

Amare could still be productive on some teams. It's not his fault some dumbass of an owner/GM gave him a 100 million dollar contract, uninsured for his knees.

Not accusing anyone on this board, but why are players always blamed for their contract? It's like how Lin was blamed because Morey decided to poison pill the Knicks to death.

I love the title of the thread. Why would we want a max player nowhere near the end of his deal who is injury prone? Why not get Patrick Ewing out of retirement and pay him $8 million a year too? That'd be great.

Are you kidding me with this petty gotcha crap?

Dec is almost over. April is the first day of the month. You do the math.

Amare actually work very well playing the 4, not the 5 for this team. But as i say, only do the deal if they include Iman Shumpert. Iman is 3x better than Parsons.

The delusion of some posters is astounding. Not only do they play different positions, but Shumpert has merely been boosted by the media. In no way can you make a case that right now you he is better than Parsons. In any case, the notion of taking on an enormous contract of a player who is clearly done, in order to land Shumpert is just silly. Why not just throw the max at Shumpert in that case?
