That's why it's so important to trade Sengun and get an ideal rim-protector (like Myles Turner). The vast majority of Rockets fans feel that defense is solely the center's responsibility. When Sengun leaves and they see that the guards at hand cannot defend the perimeter in any way, they will again put the blame in the center. It is not possible to see Sengun, Garuba, Fernando being crushed against their opponents (except for bears like Embiid, Jokic etc.) during the game, but every guard playing against the Rockets guards improves their career record every night. As a solution to this, the coaching staff thinks that they can solve this problem by changing the center rotation for the next match. Pathetic.
Might or might not work out for Sengun, but it's terrible for the Rockets. Gordon is already expiring, the Westbrook expiring does very little for us. Sengun and Christopher makes very little money. Cap room is not an issue next year. Wall's dead money is off the books, plus EG (or his traded person) could also be off the books. If in that deal Turner is coming to us (rather than another team, sure I might consider). Selfishly speaking for the Rockets, even if we get Wemby, having a cheap backup center with Sengun is good depth for the pivot year.
SOFs get mad after wins when Sengun isn’t a big contributor. They can never be happy for the team. I’ve never seen anything like these clowns
dal: luka & sengun will be good duo, sengun doesnt need the ball because luka will find him close to rim, in houston tyty can do it but silas ignores him nugget: sengun will be 15-20mins player maybe 2 or three years but jokic will help him, jokic generally play 30 mins ; with sengun it means 48mins jokic (1+baby) alperen doesnt have 3pt shot or long range , he cant play like jokic, he wont ; he needs to get the ball close to rim , so he needs a good european pg if rockets get scoot henderson .. maybe without silas sengun will shine in rockets
Come on man!! Sengun would get the ball way less in Dallas wtf? Also, Jason Kidd doesn’t like guys that can’t defend, which is why Wood is in the doghouse at times. If we get scoot, that’ll also be less touches for Sengun lol. What are you talking about? We wouldn’t take the ball out of his hands to feature Sengun
if scoot is in kpj is out man scoot jalen tari-kpj- or any other hustle baby bari sengun man sengun needs because kpj, jalen cant share the ball if there is a pg who knows how to pass , sengun will get benefit
They have three "official" centers already: Powell, Kleber, McGee. Four if you count Wood. Sengun is probably last (maybe ahead of McGee). At least on the Rockets, Al-P is still ahead of Bruno, Garuba and Boban. Mavs is in "win now" mode; so patience will be very thin. Luka is terrible in D, the rest of that club was supposed to hide his weakness, this is one of the reasons why Kidd is reluctant to start Wood. Sengun is better than Wood in defense, but he's not a rim eraser.
I see Jalen looking for Alp literally every time they run a pick-and-roll. And he reads those waaaay better than KPJ does. Just sayin
You know Scoot is a score first combo guard, right? His playmaking is really good, but he’s ball dominant.
Yeah man, SOFs are delusional. Sengun would be best on a team that only has one guy that needs the ball other than him. Most teams have 2 of those guys, and Sengun being the 3rd would not work. Luka is the only one in Dallas, but his ball dominance is on another level
any real evidence to back up the “vast majority of Rockets fans” claim? or are you just making that up? Not a criticism, I’d just be curious if there’s evidence of any kind for an assertion that strikes me as, well, exaggerated
