Question here, would the cavs this season after loosing LBJ, Shaq, Z...and a bunch of players due to injury beat the all time loosing streak of 24 held by their very own Cavs back in 81-82? they are on 16 right now. their next 9 games are: @NJN @BOS DEN @ORL @MIA IND @MEM POR @DAL There really is a legitimate chance that they can beat that record. To be honest, I have really been cheering for the Cavs this season. I know they are a joke of a team right now, but I reckon they just got really unlucky this season. Personally i am a big anti lbj fan, and really disliked the way he 'announced' his departure, but its just business and I understand. But its always nice to see a Cinderella story. An underdog over achieving. Similar to what we did last season ( I know we are a better team) but you got to feel for those guys that are still on the Cavs team left hanging. anyway, just wondering how you guys predict their next 9 games gonna turn out to be?
I don't even think they win those. They can't play D OR score. They're not going to be able to stop Granger and Hibbert and Collison, and likewise they have no one to stop Lopez.
There are a lot of games between 16 and 24 straight losses. NJ and Indiana look like good chances, but slumping teams that are like this do manage to beat good teams at times. Whether due to good teams overlooking them, having a bad game, or the stars aligning, it happens. Even the 72-10 Bulls lost to a Toronto team that went 21-61. Many other such occurrences have happened. (Though, I think them beating Miami team, even injured, in Miami would be way too Hollywood though.)
