Update, 6/14: Everett back in lead by 80K.

    Total Results NL

    Summary

The tighest battle has been at shortstop. For the third consecutive week, Everett and Edgar Renteria of St. Louis traded places at the top. Everett, who trailed Renteria by approximately 2,000 votes last week, rode a wave of more than a quarter-million votes to take over the shortstop lead by almost 80,000 over the Cardinals' two-time Gold Glove winner. Kaz Matsui of the Mets, Barry Larkin of the Reds and Rafael Furcal of the Braves are fewer than 250,000 votes from the lead.

maybe it has changed recently, but I am surprised Biggio is so close to making the 3rd outfielder spot...I hope it happens because it would mean a lot.

Kent will start. Everett might very well start, but we need to keep voting on him. Beltran gets to carry his votes over from the AL, but he's in 8th behind Richard Hidalgo anyway. Bagwell doesn't deserve to start ahead of Pujols by any means, as much as I would like to see it. Ensberg/Lamb have no chance. Ausmus is second behind Piazza, but by some 500,000 votes or so. Here's an updated list, if anyone doesn't know already:

    http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/n...&content_id=776487&vkey=allstar2004&fext=.jsp

The funny thing about that is, if you notice the outfield voting (after 1-2-3) it goes like this:

    4. Berkman, L. Astros 904,031
    5. Biggio, C. Astros 788,530
    6. Alou, M. Cubs 687,750
    7. Beltran, C. Astros 663,963
    8. Hidalgo, R. Mets 583,979

Anyone recognize any of those names?

The OF has been a major strength of the Astros for quite some time now. Never able to keep 'em all.

I got my 25 in too, could it be possible for Beltran to be a NL reserve?

I've been trying to vote just now, but everytime I click the "vote everett" link, the window starts to open, then vanishes. I have the google toolbar, but I turned off pop up blocking for the astros site. What the hell is going on?

If you were to give him a huge amout of votes then yes.

Beltran is allowed to carry over his votes from the AL ballot to the NL.
