if i'm not mistaken, TNT will cover All-Star Weekend from beginning [Friday] to end [Sunday]. does anyone know if pplive or ppstream will?

Rockets2K - will you be getting all 3 days worth of the hours and hours of coverage? or just sat & sun?
the rookie game & celebrity game are on friday, right? or is that the hometown legends game?

    thanks in advance.

I currently am planning to record the celeb game on Fri (I doubt it will be worth keeping, we will see) and the rook/soph game + the other Sat activites(skills, dunk, etc) and of course the main event.

If there is going to be anything else besides those events worth grabbing...let me know and Ill try to get it.

cctv-5 will have the all-star game live on sunday...as for the other stuff, keep checking during the events.

I believe the slamdunk contest was on cctv-5 last year.

Since I switched to DishNetwork a few months back, I don't get NBATV anymore, but they usually have excellent day-long coverage of the event where they interview every player (usually teammates together, so Yao and McGrady should be on) as well as legends in attendance.

If anyone is watching NBATV, please keep your eyes on anything Rockets-related and let R2K or someone else know what's coming up so may be we can get video of that.

Thanks guys, and thanks R2K as always for your great contribution and hard work, you're the best.

Is the shooting stars event worth watching? I don't think I've ever bothered, but I saw that T-Mac, Drexler, and Swoopes will be a team and so will Kobe, Magic and Lisa Leslie. The other teams seemed kind of crap by comparison, but I figured those two would be good.

I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but is anyone else sick of hearing about Rayshawn Brite and Kobe Bryant?

Yes. I got all 3 days worth of coverage.

Fri was the rookie game only...there was no other part televised.
Sat was NBA Planet, Inside the NBA, The Next 10 Greatest Players, and then the AS Sat night stuff(dunk, 3 pt, skills, etc)
and of course...SUn was the main event.

I already have the rook game edited and waiting for encode.
I will be editing the Sat and Sun ones today. Was pretty busy all weekend so I havent really gotten a bunch of it done...or watched for that matter. Blame work and Smeg. ;)

Sry....it is crashing everytime I start a capture.

besides...TNTHD on Time Warner Houston is encrypted..the only way I can get it on that card is to feed it out of a digital cable box..which I dont have setup in there at this time.

Patience my friend....there are definite problems involved with using this...the lack of decent OTA HD channels is one(only ones I am recieving are the locals)...the bugs with the drivers is another. The other prob is that I cant seem to figger out how to get it to cap to mpeg2. All options are either for DV streams or various avis.

Ill get it figured out soon, Im sure..Ive yet to find a tech problem I cant figger out. ;)
