Very strange. Was on Windows Live, jumped off the computer and just before I got into bed I checked my mail with my Iphone. It said wrong password. Tried to get on MSN with the IPhone, same thing. So I got online and reset my Live.com password. Then my facebook password changes. No emails saying it was reset, it just changed. As did my Skype password. I dont go on many forums and stuff so I think I've rechanged the passwords to something different that I use or that could be an issue. So what could cause that? I havent logged into a different computer. Just my phone and home computers. I know my password hasn't been hacked by anyone I live with. It happened in the space of five minutes! Any ideas what could have caused it? A virus perhaps?
I'd think it was a virus but as I said, I didnt get any emails about these passwords changing. And it all happened over about half an hour too. Im VERY careful with my passwords so I know no one would be able to get them without stuffing about sending me a virus. I dont think Ive been targeted personally I guess is what Im trying to say. I just hope its all sorted now. Ive changed the ones I know....we'll see what happens!
Because I'd been on my computer for hours. Switched it off, got into bed and thought I'd check my email before I fell asleep on my phone. When I tried it said my Hotmail password was wrong. Thought it was just a bug with the phone, so tried my MSN account. Same thing. So I got up again, when on my computer and still couldnt log into my Hotmail or MSN accounts. I managed to change the password for that account. All done! Then I went to look at my facebook, same thing. Reset the password. Skype, same thing. Had to reset my password. It hasnt effected my CF password, my person web site forum or password or Twitter password which is good. I can tell you though, I went through my email account and deleted anything I wouldnt be happy for the world to see! By the way, NO ONE has EVER had these passwords. No ex's or anything like that.
perhaps then, something keyboard or keyboard mapping/setting related... where you aren't typing what you think you are?
Seems pretty obvious to me keylogger you only get emails about password RESETS at most places, if you went into your cf.net control panel and changed your password, woudl you get a email notification? Not IIRC.(havent changed mine in years) someone out there has the passwords to sites you frequent, most likely got them thru a keylogger. Run many many scans n your computer and dont type in anything really important like credit card #s till you figure this out
