If you were to compare Parson's play from last season to this season, you would notice that something has changed about him. But what exactly?

His fg, 3pt and ft percentages are all up from last season. Still there is something missing. What is it??:confused:

He hasn't really stepped up from the defensive player he looked like last year. Still has room to grow, but that defensive potential needs to see improvement.

But he did start off this season playing amazing for a 2nd year player. I think that shoulder injury he got a while back messed with his shot and he hasn't hit it consistently, since. Also, he's exerting more energy on offense which may explain why his defense has stayed the same/gotten slightly worse. Could just be sophomore slump.

I actually think that has something to do with coaching.

People underestimate how debilitating a shoulder injury is for a basketball player. It affects reflex speed on defense as well as follow through and even balance. Balance is supremely important in basketball and what people don't realize is the use of your arms is very important when staying balanced, especially when shooting.

this plus he probably has less energy left to spend for defense..

shoulder injury would also mean less reps in practice.

Shoulder injured + McHale plays him close to 40 minutes every game.

Obviously he is complacent with the team, knows he will get a salary raise next season, and letting his ego get in the way of basketball.

What you are also forgetting is last year there was no big man in a Rockets jersey in the paint collecting rebounds. With Asik down there, Parson's doesn't need to crash the boards like he did last year, thus less opportunities for the put back.

Probably because ever since Lin joined the team, Parsons doesn't have enough energy for games.

Parsons is just a mediocre player. You people overrate him due to his looks. If he had Al Jefferson's face nobody would care if he lives or dies.

Haha, Chandler does need a shave.

He also needs to step up his defensive effort again, although that is hard when you play so many minutes each game.

I will take one for the team and do Chandler's banging so he can focus on hoops.

    I give and give.
