aliens was one of the best movies ever. Sad to see them not able to come up with a decent movie to follow it up with. 3 strikes already.
Except that one of the more interesting directors out there is a former music video guy, so they aren't 100% bad.... just 99.9999% bad.
Yea...I saw it. Not that good...but I had to...I had to see it for some strange reason... I liked the girl...I liked...well...that was about it...
had its moments but dam wasnt planning ton seeing aliens vs. predator and the chick...she played too significant of a role in the movie..
yea i kinda knew that the humans would team up wit the Preds. They are intelligent beings who can understand language, while the aliens are just animals. it seems the Predetors have some kind of honor code wit which they follow.
as opposed to the glory days when studios loved losing money? really? as a huge jurassic park fan i know i'd be there.
Who are you talking about? Spike Jonze? I know he got his start directing skateboard videos or something.
Spike did that great video for Beastie Boys' "Sabatoge" mrpaige is probably refering to David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Alien3) Fincher did a lot of music videos, these are probably his best work: Paula Abdul's Straight Up & Cold Hearted Madonna's Vogue & Express Yourself Aerosmith's Janie's Got A Gun Don Henley's End of the Innocence George Michael's Freedom 90
I read that Fincher was so pissed at studio interference on Alien 3 that he walked off the project right before they were about to edit it.
If you are a fan of the Alien franchise, you have to see the special edition of Alien3 that came out relatively recently. It's not a "director's cut" because Fincher did not want anything to do with the movie even after all these years (I wish he did change his minf though). The new version adds a lot of original footage back and drastically changes the movies tone and atmosphere by adding a lot more character development. It's actually becomes more of a thinking man's movie than the theatrical release, which was IMHO a major disappointment. Fincher is a great director (Seven, Fight Club), and it is too bad that a studio battle let a possibly good movie turn down right ugly.
