I have no idea who he is but heard him being mentioned yesterday. Sounds like this year's surprise project who gets picked higher than he should. That's good for the Rockets.

Anyone know what a "spread four" means?

The first time I saw him play was at this year's Nike Hoop Summit. I can go watch more film at home of him playing in France.

A spread 4 is a 4, i.e. PF, who can "spread" the floor with his jump shooting ability and overall mobility. Basically someone who can also play facing the basket rather than the "traditional" power forward who plays with his back to the basket. Ben Wallace would not be a spread 4. LaMarcus Aldridge, as mentioned in the article, is a spread 4 since he can square up and hit the 15-17 ft jumper.

a spread four is a pf who can hit a mid-range to 3 point shot... or spread the floor.

ajinca is an interesting prospect. i think 12-14 is a bit high but you never know with the nba draft.

I'd really like to have this guy as a big 4 to matchup with the Lakers with Bynum and Gasol. I think he is a player. I think he is going to improve. If we draft a big man, this is the big man I want.
