I cant find many old stats on him but Im from LA and follow USC and UCLA games. in the late 90's and early 2000s Alex Scales was one of the best players in the pac 10. He was one of the 1st players that helped lead the turn of the Oregon Basketball program

I think the radio guys said that he played in Europe, the last few years.

He showed some good stuff out on the court against Portland. He will be exciting to watch if he makes the cut.

yeah and how tall is this guy? I really like his game and I think he would be a great player on the bench.

I would love to see him make the roster.....he is EXPLOSIVE!! Reminds you of Derick Anderson from Portland, something nice to bring off the bench.

He made SportsCenter highlights for the Rox-Blazer game review.

Yeah, I liked his game also. He has good hustle and always seems to be involved. It looked like he was a little desperate at the end when he shot everything that came to him (ala Mobley)..

He was very impressive...for one game. We'll see what happens tonight. At least he seemed to do well with the weight of the world on his shoulders, unlike Nachbar. If Scales can keep up the intensity, I'd almost rather see him at backup PG rather than Mooch. Only time will tell!

He reminds me of Gilbert Arenas.

Don't forget, like Steve, he's also a former San Jacinto Raven. Had a pretty good stay there before Oregon.

I would rather see Mike Wilks on the team. I loved Alex Scales last night, but hey, we have enough 2s on this team now. We need a better backup pg more. Priorities first. But I do hope Scales continues to do good so he can keep auditioning and make another squad. Or maybe even the IR for us.

He has played in Jiangsu Dragon Team of CBA in China. After a splendid season, he disapeared the next year. I thought him to be a mini Kobe at my first glimpse. Ironically, he the former opponent in China, became yao's teamate here.

Mr Scales was definitely impressive but I am afraid he will be a victim of the numbers game. He could still make the team by being one of those players put on IR for phantom injuries.
