I really like this guy. Wouldn't mind taking him, maybe along with Camby?

    Because I'm bored...

Rockets get Camby (expiring), Thorton (expiring), Rudy Fernandez, Przybilla (injured but should come back to give Yao some rest)

Clippers get Outlaw (injured but expiring), Blake (expiring), Scola (expiring).

Blazers get Battier, Telfair, Cook, Andersen.

Personally I don't see any reason for the Clippers to do the deal unless they think they can resign those guys on the cheap since they are just trading expirings.

He is just one of those guys man. Like a Ricky Davis type. Can only do one thing and its not performed in a way that is conducive to winning.

I would rather have DeAndre Jordan from them. 21 year old, 6'11" center from Houston out of A&M, on a $736K contract. He isn't getting too many minutes, but his career numbers per 36 minutes are good:

    Career Per 36 Minutes:
    .632 FG%
    10.8 TRB
    2.4 BLK
    10.6 PPG

Clippers need help at SF... think we could get him for Budinger straight up?

Last year he was pretty good. Coming into this season they said he lost 25 pounds in the off-season and he had to get used to playing at that weight. I have no clue why he decided to lose so much weight though.

Did you see where it says the several teams have contacted the Clippers about DeAndre Jordan and they have no plans to move him?

thorton is a classic case of "he can do everything well, but cant do any one thing good"

the guy takes way too many shots, terrible shots at that for being such a mediocre shooter...he is athletic and can get to the rim but doesnt try.

basically he hasnt improved AT ALL after a promising rookie campaign and that simply wont cut it...i mean if the CLIPPERS are willing to let him go it says volumes to his game and work ethic

Too inconsistent but I think he'd be doing better at SG than Ariza.

I like Telfair and Camby, but this is another trade that would mean nothing towards a title and if anything would set us back.

not really. Clippers do an atrocious job of developing players, and have historically repeatedly let players walk after their rookie contracts.

Sounds like the Clippers are willing to give up Marcus Camby if a team is willing to take on Al Thornton and Sebastian Telfair's contracts. The Clippers appear to be cutting salary for 2010 free agency.

Say what you want about Camby's age, he still an elite defensive center in the NBA, while Al Thornton can be a very effective scorer off the bench. It wouldn't surprise me if the Spurs made a run at Camby/Thornton/Telfair offering nothing more than expiring contracts--players which the Clippers will probably waive to resign later with the Spurs--and a future 1st round pick.

Last year at the trade deadline, the Spurs went after Camby, and the Spurs must know that they need a player like Camby to compete this season. I don't like the Spurs but I have to admit that this front court would be nasty:

    Camby/Duncan/McDyess/Blair

    Camby/McDyess
    Duncan/Blair
    Jefferson/Thornton
    Manu/Bogans
    Parker/Hill/Telfair

He's shooting 48% on the year, and is 5-14 from 3. He's taking only 9 shots per game in 27 minutes. He's not a very good rebounder, and he isn't going to create for his teammates.

i think their players do get better but they let players walk because they are too cheap to resign them at market value.

a lot has to depend on the player themselves if they have that drive...gordon and kaman have gotten better and i expect that Griffin when he plays will too. Livingston was getting better before his freak injury and their other players like Qrich, Miles, Magette, Dooling, Odom all did get better when they were on the clippers.

They just had some very bad drafts thats for sure and some very bad luck as well.

I'd pass, he's on my fantasy team and is way to inconsistent. Isn't he more of a sf pf combo, don't we have enough of those?

I've never really understood the hype behind this guy. He seems like he's talented, but he's just never put it all together.

I think the hype was because he did better than expected as a rookie. That is all.
