And I like Howard a lot but i'm really not sure he would have made that much of a difference in the Dallas series. All he really does is shoot those mid-range and elbow jumpers with the occasional post up. He doesn't attack the basket nor do I think he would have unlike Harrington who could have used his quickness to his advantage in that situation.

Harrington barely makes more than what Howard already does on a shorter deal. Contract and dollars wouldn't be a problem for CD and Les if the opportunity to add him came along.

Size would be a problem? 6'9, 250 lbs with long arms. Not like any PF as it is can really compete with the elite PF's (unless your name is Duncan, KG, Dirk or another or so). Harrington could hold his own offensively---he practically owns the baseline no matter who is guarding him.

OK, I was wrong about the contract Harrington got. Still, I think if you're looking for someone to help Yao on the defensive end and rebounding end, you're not looking for a guy like Harrington whose head is only guaranteed to be in the game if he's getting his touches/chances on the offensive end of the floor. Considering that TMac and Yao should get the vast majority of the offensive looks first, I just am not certain about Harrington's ability to fit in. Just my two cents, though.
