I lack pitching. My friend wants a trade. He gets Victor Martinez who had a good game yesterday for Jake Peavy and Jason Varitek. Should i do it? Peavy would help but i don't know how good or useful Martinez will be. Also Ramon Hernandez is a FA so i could always pick him up.
If Ramon Hernandez is available there's something wrong with your league. Is it ten teams or more? In my leagues he's averaged no less than the fifth catcher chosen. Also, if he's available, I do this deal in a heartbeat if you're hurting for pitching. Ramon will still get you 20 HRs and 80+ RBIs if healthy, if you're able to pick him up.
