Ok, here is the scenerio. I live in Japan, work for a Investment Firm (FOREX) and the company has let me go because the company has abundance of Chinese offices which they need help at and I refused to go. The company has been nothing but a pain, and really it isn't my future, but I do love the investment business. Should I feel sour about the whole situation? Is it legal? I mean WTF, I was the district manager for God's sake. Its absolutely ridiculous. Anyway... thx for all of your opinions... greatly appreciated.
If Can't beat them then join them, and if you refuse to join them then seek a newspaper for a new job.....
Feel sour? Dont. Is it legal? Most likely. Imo, just move on to a new company. Im sure you can pack a impressive resume and find a new job in no time. If you cant, well.....bring me stuff back from Japan
I guess none of here are versed in Japanese law, but considering the culture, I'm sure there are few things companies can't do to their employees over there. Buy hey, you said you didn't like the job, so now it's your chance to move on.
