Appendectomy is way too invasive and complicated for a new born. Who wants their baby being anesthetized and cut open to remove something that is preferable to be done at a later age IF the need arises? Circumcision all you need is a blade and cut off some foreskin.
I don't know why people even try to find HIV prevention statistics to justify circumcision. That is only a worthwhile justification if you live in sub-Saharan Africa. The U.S. has one of the higher prevalence rates for HIV out of all developed nations, yet is also the one with the highest percentage of circumsized males. Wear a jimmy hat and and be selective of your sexual partners and your chance of getting HIV drops to virtually zero.
Yeah I should have thought that through a little better to be honest. I would have had my son circumcised regardless. What I find kind of odd, is everyone who says "im snipped, but not my son, if he wants it done it's his choice later" Easy for you to say, why let him go through the pain when it's gonna hurt most? Whatever, I guess it shouldn't be that big a deal no matter someone elses decision.
I can tie knots and make balloon like animals with my foreskin... Having a foreskin comes in pretty handy and quite effective when you want to mop it up after your partner squirts and leaks like an oil spill in that movie, "There Will Be Blood"... "I drink your milkshake"....
As far as I know, there was no pain, a slight rubber band around the area and the skin fell off in a week. DD
