Game still in progress against the Chargers and a really good defense: 28 carries, 258 yards, 3 TD Absolutely incredible.
What makes it even more remarkable is that he's doing all of this with possibly the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. Imagine what he'll be able to do when they have a passing threat...
Benson + Peterson (his fresh yr) would have been stupid. If you were one of those people who thought Bush was better than Peterson then you don't know football.
Give him an inch of space and he is gone. The most dangerous runner with an open hole I've seen since Terrell Davis in his prime. What a player, and he did most of it in the second half!
why didn't the Texans tank some games and get him? We tank games so we can draft Mario Williams, but not AP. As long he is healthy he is a great player. I think all Texas fans knew that after his freshman year.
i have him on my fantasy team. we started a keeper league for the first time this season, I won my league last season on absolute luck so I didn't keep anyone but vy. you could keep three but you lose a draft pick with each player you keep, I knew everyone else would at least keep two so I could get him. I'll be keeping him next year needless to say. I remember when corey dillon set the rookie record on the oilers and then and dillon set the single season and jammal lewis broke that. I had dillon on my fantasy team the year he broke it. peterson is a faster version of dillon which is saying a whole lot. he's in the mold of eric dickerson.
Yes. Yes. Yes. If AD doesn't get hurt, he will challenge LT for top running back in the NFL. But they can't run him 30 times per game very often.
His name is AD not AP... AP is Allen Patrick (current OU running back)... no one calls him AP except for you guys. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.... continue basking in his greatness
Um, nobody cares who the current OU running back is. And people like to shorten names on the internet. So considering that Adrian Peterson is positioning himself to be a top NFL back for many years, he sort of gets the default claim on his initials.
That didn't make much sense to me either. If we're going to be consistently bad for years, mine as well tank and stock pile some talent so we can get good. We blew it by winning a meaningless game towards the end of the year. I'm curious, out of the top three, who was the better pick so far, Williams, Bush or Young?
