Didn't want to post in the 'hate RA' thread....

but, it is up to Adelman. It IS on HIM

    He is the coach.

    1. He has to deal with TMac period. Either get production or bench him. Those are the options.
    2. Take TMac out of the equation here is the available rotation-
Yao, Rafer, Brooks, Landry, Scola, Artest, Hayes, Barry, Head, Wafer
Now that is enough defense and offense to win. We know they can defend, they have proven that for the last 4 seasons. They need an offensive scheme that works and brings chemistry.
    3. Whatever happened to the defense from last season. Either they are losing the influence carry over of you know who, or they are being coached different because the defense stinks and that is on the coaching.
    4. Set some rotation and roles. Is Brooks a scorer or distributer. Is Hayes going to get rotation minutes? Is Artest going to spot up and shoot 3's or are we going to use him on the post as his first option.

Most of the struggle I see right now is confusion of identity, poor ball movement and terrible defensive play.

Rick Adelman must establish the TMac drama very soon and he must put the roster in the best position to win games. Ugly wins are better than any loss.

Right now he has to step up.

I like Adelman. I just don't want to see this whole season blow up and he is the only one who can do something right now.

I am sure he realizes it is ON HIM.

I posted something to this effect the other day. At this point it is not about injuries, it is about coaching and leadership. Adelman must step up and quickly. He has seemed so passive since coming here, like he doesn't know what's going on most of the time. I know his record, but what about now?

Agreed, he needs to more clearly define the roles, and if it means kissing McBabies butt, he needs to pucker up.

What makes you guys think that Adelman has been quiet?

My guess is that if Yao sides with Tmac, Adelman is going to have a tough time leading this team.

Ugh this is the 4th thread started in the last 12 hours related to Rick Adelman. Can we PLEASE look at least 3 pages on the BBS for similar topics? This is getting ridiculous.

And as for our defense not being what it was last year, and overall team chemistry, I believe a lot of it has to do with Shane Battier and his injuries. We need him healthy!!

I feel really badly for Yao for having hooked up with such a loser like TSlack. Although I bash Yao a lot, I know he gives his all in preparation and extends great effort during the game (even if he's soft). But to be stuck with TSlack during the prime of your NBA career is must be one of the saddest things for Yao. Who knows how far Yao could have gone in his prime but now it looks like he's going nowhere fast.

If there is a big blow up coming then Morey better step in quickly, we are wasting time and talent

In the NBA if the coach loses the players.... Morey better step in, either settle the problem or fire the coach.

Sorry, that is life in the NBA, it is a players league.

LOL. Despite all the sucking up Artest did, Yao will not side with Artest.

Mark my word. If Tmac takes on Adelman, he takes Yao with him.

I wonder what we can get in the open market for our dormant duo.

My biggest disappointment w/ Adelman is the defense. He cannot suit up and take the court, but he can hold players accountable for not playing defense. And we all know good defense can be had w/ good effort.

Our main identity is sliding away and there's no sign that it's going to get better any time soon.

EDIT: I wonder if JVG has observed these turn of events and his take on it. JVG has always been a fervent Tmac supporter.

Yao might be loyal to Tracy and not call him out like the Kobe/Shaq thing, but he is also loyal to his coaches, whether it was Jeff, Rick, or Rudy.

I think Yao knows what's best for the team and would chose his knowledge over loyalty. Like when Francis didn't play, you think Yao complained?

I don't see what Adelman has done that's anything over JVG.

    I say bring back Gundy.

I remember reading about a coup Francis & Mobley tried to stage. I forget if it was against Mr. Mean or JVG. Francis said they tried to get Yao to join in as the front office could only agree if all 3 were in together but Yao didn't want to.

If JVG comes back we would be better defensively and the offense would be ran better through Yao and Artest. In my honest opinion... Tracy would still play like he has a stick up his butt and may even look worse than he is now in JVG system.
