I really think the Rockets should activate Collier. We need him when Mo Taylor doesn't play. He has played well in alot of games during his career even though he has been hurt alot.

If we do activate him whom should we deactivate assuming Rice doesn't go on IR.

Why do we need to activate Collier? Our center position is filled nicely by Ming and Cato. It would make sense if Ming doesn't play... maybe...
The pf spot is pretty well manned by Griffin with MoT as his backup. When MoT doesn't play I wouldn't mind seeing TMo getting his minutes there. But Collier? Granted it has a possibility of working... small possibility, and almost no possibility of happening. I'd put Cato in before Collier for the pf spot if not just for the sake of experimenting with the Yao-Cato combo, and if you're just suggesting to activate Collier for the C spot... how does that relate to Taylor not playing games? If Rice goes to the IR, then sure, activate Collier, but I wouldn't intentionally put anyone on the IR just to bring Collier in. The team is working pretty well as it is, I'm not saying Collier can't play, but the players we have off the IR are more valuable to this team than Collier, yes even Rice.

The reason I want to see Collier activated is because we need someone that can handle the strong PF. TMo can handle the athletic PF but he will get bullied by the strong ones. MoT has been out in alot of games with the achillies problem and may be out even more when we have many games with very little rest inbetween them. I do see your point of Cato being a PF but I don't see Rudy T going with Cato because he really cares about spacing for Yao.
