line-up will be announced a week from today. who's going? who do you want or think will be there?

i'm hoping for phish out of the bands i've heard rumored. my morning jacket and/or the black crowes would be nice. the eagles? not so much.

i'm rooting for prince as a darkhorse.

Check here for good updates. Seems like The Eagles, Flaming Lips, and Phish are locks.

I'm not crazy about any of those except the Lips. Never been a big Eagles fan. I can live with Phish's music...but not with their fans. TAKE A F***ING SHOWER! It's not healthy, cool, earthy, etc, etc, to be that disgusting. Oh, and no, I don't want to buy that grilled cheese sandwich you've had in your fanny pack for the last 3 weeks.

Also heard Blues Traveler, Phoenix, Arcade Fire, Black Keys, Spoon, Muse, The Dead Weather, etc.

Weaker rumors had Green Day and Soundgarden included. The Eagles and Green Day at the same festival means I get to leave early at least 2 of the nights.

Probably won't be able to go, but theres a chance. I'm hoping for Muse. I love the Flaming Lips though, and they have been confirmed by the Austin Chronicle. And Spoon has been confirmed too, they are great.

I don't really see where Phish or the Eagles are locks, i know the rumors keep flying around but nothing substantial besides people on that forum saying they have "inside info". I know nothing about Phish so i cant say anything on them, Eagles are alright but they could probably find someone better to headline (Eagles have some good songs but they are old, I dunno how they sound now)

Also, heard the Gorillaz are releasing their US tour dates next week. Interesting that they would the same week as ACL line-up is released....

Last year I went to Austin during ACL, but instead of going to the fest I saw Grizzly Bear one night and Ghostland the next at after shows. I'm looking forward to seeing the schedule for those and will probably go up there again this year to catch some. If Arcade Fire plays anywhere in the state you can bet your ass I'll figure out a way to see them. :)

argh, they announced the schedule today. thank you acl for making the only two bands i really want to see on sunday at the same exact time (flaming lips and band of horses). and for making two of my top five at the same time friday (black keys and broken bells).

To be fair, those are the only 2 conflicts I see for the whole weekend. Usually, there are a lot more. I'll probably lean towards the Black Keys on Friday and definitely towards Flaming Lips on Sunday.

The wifey and I have it planned to be kid free on Friday since that's the day that, musically, is by far the best. Saturday and Sunday, I couldn't care less if I spend the entire time at the kids stage, with few exceptions (Monsters of Folk on Sat...Flaming Lips, Trombone Shorty, Rebeloution on Sun). I am not a Muse fan and MIA is f***ing terrible, so I'll be getting home nice and early on Sat. I'm sure my wife will want to stay for The Eagles, but they're another I couldn't care less about.

Friday is sick, Saturday is even more sick.

I get to see The Sword and Deadmau5 without any conflicts and MIA vs Muse is brilliant.

I'm with Leroy, Black Keys and Flaming Lips all the way.
