I'm curious, how expensive is it if you set the ac/heater to run just the fan? I ask because I now live in a highrise apartment type deal (or at least the closest you can get to downtown nashville"... and with the hall being so heated etc.. despite it being cold outside my apartment seems to be staying warm without even having the heat on... It's more comfortable though if the fan at least kicks on to circulate air.. so I'm curious how much that costs? A lot less than actually running the AC/Heater?
Its a lot less cheaper to just run the fan which uses negligeble amounts of power compared to a gas or electrical heater. You should check to see if your thermostat has a manual control to turn on the fan otherwise if you're not running the heat it doesn't make much sense to set your thermostat.
