How long does it take for mail to roll
    internationally???

BTW what is there to stop someone from seeing
the results and sending it in on the 8th?

I wonder the same thing. You have to remember though that the 7th in Florida is not the 7th wherever some of these people are. I think it is Highly possible that someone saw the final count, and then voted. The votes should have been DUE on election day...
There is SOOOOOO much we can learn from this experience, I hope we take it all in and make the process better in the future

DUDE, yeah the number one thing to learn from this, is next time for some individuals not to leave their reading glasses at home next time they happen to stumble into a voting poll.

I mean seriously, what do you mean theres so much to learn from this? It was a extremely close vote, which was so close in one state were, in that state, the law demanded a recount when the vote is that proximate. Thats all!

The media will have you think otherwise though thats just because they feed off this poo.

This is a unique country were calm reason and rationality rule over the mass hysteria that would otherwise develop in other countries if they ever allowed themselves to be put in a similar situation(which they wouldn't)- this to them would register as a calamity; a crisis; a disaster; a reason to kill, and reward their inward boredom and hatred for life.

The media is destructive with there I'm first, get out the signs, and yell baby yell, act like a brute, cause the cameras are rollin, smile with your sign you significant somebody- and it's working, people are bored.

Dude, Isn't the rest of the world ahead of us time wise? When its 5pm here in New York its 11pm in London and so on.

So there is no way people could watch results and then cast a vote. But I do agree, votes should have to be "in" by the 7th.

    Rocketbooster,
What I meant by learning things is this..
We certainly DONT want to end up like this again. Recounting, Hand Counting, etc.. The more the media makes a big deal of Palm Beach, the more other counties will say "we made a mistake too, and should be able to revote"... all because the people there were not smart enough to punch a hole in a piece of paper.
The whole process is showing ALOT about or election process. It is clearly showing that Jesse Jackson is nothing but a divider who just wants 'face time' on TV. Now we have a National Day oF Protest on Monday...
Legal action to try and get a revote is crazy.. You can NOT change votes that were already cast..

Anyway, to me there is just so much to learn in this whole process.

Just watching the news and the news say Gore's people say that they will not stop until he wins. He will recount until he gets a good vote and then he will seek legal action.
    This doesnt look pretty.

The more this goes on, the more people in other states will say, 'Hey I voted for the loser in my state, but I might have messed up and voted for someone else.' OR 'I wanna change my vote now, so lets have a revote'...
The revote idea is a stupid idea because of the fact that these people know something that NO ONE else knew about when the voted. These people know who THEY vote for will be President. So you can forget ANY support for Nader, Buchanan, Browne, etc.. And the campaigning would be unbelievalby crazy in that County.

The more this goes on with Gore wanting different counts, etc... the more Bush is going to want to look at New Mexico, Iowa, etc.... Because maybe had those states been counted correctly Gore wouldnt win the White House with FLorida... It is a clusterf*ck.

Whether people like Bush or Gore, the best thing for ALL of us is to get the absentee votes and add those to the votes we have and declare a winner. If the loser concedes graciously, then he will be ready to retry in four years.
