Click here I wasn't old enough to watch Abdul-Jabbar, so I don't know too much about him. But I really enjoyed this interview. The guy is educated and old-fashioned about the game and about life. I felt this belongs in the Dish forum, but I just want to say that I would love to have him as an Assistant Coach with the Rocks. Work with Yao half the time and half the time attempt to instill in the team's young core an appreciation for becoming "a very efficient team that can compete."
Get a load of that pic. This Jabbar guy is going to have to bulk up if he's going to play in the NBA. He clearly doesn't have the upper-body strength to bang with Shaq.
Good point! Also, why did the Bulls draft Jay Williams? I mean there is no way he will ever be able to guard Gary Payton or Jason Kidd! C'mon! Why did the Heat get Caron Butler? No chance he can guard Tracy McGrady or Keven Garnett. They would eat him alive! What are these teams thinking!?!? Chris
you should've seen him sonny. i still remember many of his memorable games in a celtic uniform going against wilt chamberlain. he literally modernized the point guard position.
