If you ask me, Brooks is among one of the top PG in the league, i dont mean up there with Billups, Deron, or CP3, but I'm saying he is top 25% or so, he is capable of being an allstar, I think we have the same caliber player in Luis Scola. Based on the first 3 games, I think Ariza can be in that conversation too, again, I'm not saying superstar, or Allstar, but def. maybe a step below all star caliber. 3 players like that on ur team means u are not a team with a bunch of scrappy scrubs like most of the media is painting us out to be
The key for Brooks is for him to get stronger physically without losing the speed. If he does that, he can reach all-star status, but that's not an easy thing to do.
I always felt that his bad passing was, in large part, to his team mates not being used to playing with him. He's so quick and he passes at unexpected times and I felt that team mates weren't always ready for the ball.
First of all, when the **** did i say Yao is the center of the universe. when i said ab does not fit with yao was becuase someone else posted that some on this board favors rafer over AB which i feel is stupid but playing styles is one of the reasons. Also i thought this team was build around yao. So playing styles does come into consideration. Please do not say you think ab and yao's styles complement. on a side note....i would love to see chauncy with yao...that would be a dangerous combinition. Then again, this team is probably better off moving away from yao, at least not have him as the centre piece. JOHN WALL!!!!! Secondly, YOU, or anyone else is not better than any other race. GET OVER WITH IT....so stop bringing race into it. Just like the majority on this board who are ariza's nut huggers, or hayes' nut huggers are not chinese. you are right...i never disagreed with him saying that some posters were really hating on AB...but i can accept it because it was his first couple of seasons, adapting to new styles of play and his teammates having to adapt to him as well. Add in the fact that he only just got the starting position, it would just increase more mistakes. FYI...i love AB, the fact that he is fearless on the court despite his size, just makes his accomplishments that much more respectable. I just don't feel bringing race into the discussion is neccessary. Just like most on this website that hate on yao are non-chinese...that does not mean that I have to insult them do I? It just means a different point of view. Offcourse chinese broadcasters does not make the matter any better. Anyway all in all, i just hate it when young and immature people bring race into everything.
I he really? That's really impressive. To think teams like Phoenix didn't want Brooks, Landry, and whoever else just for Amare to begin the season with in trades. Now they cant even get those guys and we wouldn't even want to trade Brooks and Landry for Amare probably. That would probably be giving too much to them. I like our guys and hope their stats increase for trade value sake or to continue for them to grow as players to keep them if they get better as players individually. I think Brooks and Landry are capable of becoming semi premier players in this league. Maybe even premier in Brooks case.
Why would they want Carl Landry ? He's about the same age as Amare, but not near as good. Why would they want Aaaron Brooks ? They have Steve Nash Amare is a proven star in this league, the same can't be said for Brooks or Landry. If we could get Amare for Landry, and Brooks today. I'd take that in a heartbeat.
I am Chinese. It is really a shame that a national TV would spread such clueless and classless hatred toward one player only because of Yao this, Yao that. Embarrassing racism, there it is.
I wouldnt. That would only make us wekaer at the point and totally destroy our defense with Amare in the game. He cant defend anyone in this league. He has as many injury concerns as Tmac almost. Landry is worth more than Amare with Brooks on a team. Landry can give you half the points but also have the PFs score half less on him than Amare anyways. Amare is barely worth Scola and Lowry our backup point.
I Knew AB was a gamer and was going to shine this season. But I had no idea he was going to shine this bright. He's really taken his game to the next level he still has plenty of room to improve but he's really shining. He's playing like a top 5 point right now.
I'm not one to gush over offensive-minded players, but I'll go ahead and say it -- Brooks has played like a star through 4 games. Averaging 21 ppg, 8.5 apg, on 50% shooting? Very impressed.
I've been saying it for a while, Aaron Brooks is going to be a star in this league. Glad to see it coming to fruition. Get the kid a contract.
