This is make or break time for Aaron.

Over the next month, he'll face off with Deron Williams twice, Tony Parker twice, Chris Paul, and Chauncey Billups. These are all players he could potentially have to deal with in the playoffs.

Aaron's been doing well since becoming the starter because he's feeling confident -- management's put their faith in his abilities to lead our team. But too many more nights like Chicago and I feel that confidence will be shaken. I don't expect him to light it up against the NBA's elite, but I'm praying he holds his own.

The last thing we need going into the playoffs is our starting point guard hanging his head.

Good points. Brooks definitely can learn something from Rafer.

Rafer had never played well against those elite PGs, but he did keep his head up and talk like he was the best PG ever.

He needs to stay aggressive and make them play defense. His offense is his best defense.

I think he can hold his own better than Rafer at least against CP3 (because he is small and quick like Brooks).

These PGs are all quick, if Brooks can stay in front and Ron-Ron, Battier, Yao help him when they get away or shoot over the top, I think Rockets can handle them.

Agreed. I also hope Lowry is up to the challenge too. He's probably going to see minutes down the stretch of a lot of close games due to his defensive ability alone.

You can't trade players who are on the same team.

I like Lowry on Deron Williams and Chancy Billups especially since they like to post up. The test is just as big if not bigger for Lowry as he's contending for the starting pg spot.

Why do I have this premonition that Houston's neverending search for a serviceable PG will continue?

    Prove me wrong, please, Brooks.

good points. for better or worse i think brooks is the starter for the rest of the season.

this team was struggling with inconsistency. since tmac quit and the trade went down, the team is able to keep the same lineup, the same rotation... consistency brings chemistry. the team needs no more shakeups this season.

Brooks is another Rafer. Don't let the time tell . we don't have so much time.Just put him on the bench

I would love to see Brooks hold his own against those elite PG but I don't think it matters much just yet. He needs to play well against them in the playoffs. I'm tired of seeing the role players on this team disappear in the playoffs. Scola is the only guy I'm not worried about when the games really start to count.

The verdict is out on everyone else...especially Brooks since this will be his first real taste of playoff basketball.

Brooks' starting job is safe for the rest of the season. Adelman doesnt want an unconfident Brooks going into the playoffs, but Lowry needs some increased minutes.

brooks doesn't hang his head. he's already stepped up against elite pgs in the past. he's a gamer, and if anything, plays better under pressure. chicago was a learning experience, he's learned, and he's going to move on and continue to get better.

Brooks had a bad game tonight...so that means he's going to have a good game tomorrow, no matter who it is against.

The problem is he's an overrated offensive player. He doesn't have the ability to run the team well if his shots are not falling, which becomre more and more common.
