" A Rocket's Thanksgiving " Thank you Les Alexander for being an owner that quietly puts so much into your adopted community. Real wins and losses are often measured by the faces of people who never have had a chance to dream or be Dream. To that, you will always be a winner in Houston. Thank you CD (and guys) for the surprises and pains as you play party twister with our emotions every season. We sometimes question the short-haul but are never disappointed in your end-results. Thank you RT for finding your soul again. Rudyball may never flourish as gloriously as it did when first born, but we are overjoyed with you reminding us just how it felt, every now and again. Thank you Hakeem for so many years of your gentlemanly, and persistent attitude of professionalism. All others pale in comparison. We are humbled by your perspective. We thank you Mrs. Anderson for your son Shandon. We are reminded of your rightful pride everytime your little man walks on the court in Rocket's Red Glare. Thank you Wink and Cat for showing us a sincere appreciation for one another's friendship. The greatest job on earth is still just a job unless you can share it in battle with family. Thank you Matt and Carlos for your infectious humor, steady arms and willing shoulders. You both are as reliable as the tides and almost as unrelenting. Thank you KT for showing that a small statured warrior, from an even smaller town, can slew big city giants, if he puts his heart first. Your uncomplaining face frames your earnest effort. Thank you Maurice for trusting the fans and the city of Houston. Now trust yourself. We won't let you down, if you don't let yourself down. Thank you all Rockets players. Past and present. Your role is well earned and appreciated. The icing of the cake may be tasted first and most strongly, but a full belly knows he owes his comfort and pleasure to the supporting body that makes the treat whole. Thank you to all my Rocket brothers and sisters, for you are as honestly zealous in praise, as you are zealously honest in condemnation. Rocket fans know the difference between good basketball and good media hype, and we never get the two confused. We are Rocket fans not because it is fashionable or required, but because we each carry a sense of completeness, a confident certitude, that all know in the end, irregardless of state, there is always, .... the Rockets. Thank you Clutch. For everything. Nuff said. [This message has been edited by oeilpere (edited November 20, 2000).]

damn you dream13 for exceeding my 1024 width. ------------------ It just goes to show how skewed our priorities are when Mo Taylor makes millions of dollars while some high school teacher, that can actually rebound, scrapes to make a living. If Mo were half the power forward that Charles Barkley was, he'd be 3'2" and still board more than he does now.
Thank you, oilepere, for not sticking to your "I will...never post again" pledge. Thank you Clutch, for allowing us to edit (if not delete) our posts. Thank you in advance, Dream13, for editing your post to make it legible and within the bandwidth of most moniters. ------------------ Save our children from the TAAS test: TAAS test report card TAAS test fact sheet

Thank you BBS'ers for all the fun we have. Thank you to all the forgotten Rockets staff - the one's who do all the hard work behind the scenes: Angela, Andrea, Andrew, Andy, Hai, LeiLani, Kirk, Tim, Tracy, Dan, Mike, Juan and the many, many others. They are the one's that really make everything possible. Thank you to the voters of Harris County for approving the arena referendum and to everyone who helped keep the Rockets in Houston. Thank you to the Comets for a fourth ring. Most of all, thank you Clutch for giving us internet freaks/Rockets fans a reason to smile every day. ------------------ Time for a new cause.
