Three guys go to a motel. The cost is $30. They each pay $10. Later on the innkeeper realizes that the room costs $25. He gives the bellhop $5 to give back. The bellhop gets greedy. He gives the three guys $1 back, and keeps the $2 for himself. 9 times three is $27. The $2 the bellhop keeps equals $29. What happenes to the extra dollar?
I would say that flawed logic is the culprit. I don't know where exactly, but I do know that 25+1+1+1+2=30.
The men spent $30 dollars. They got $3 back, so really they only spent $27. They paid $25 for the room, and $2 to the bellhop. EDIT: The confusing part is people adding the bellhop's $2 instead of subtracting it.
