Just thought I would give a little update on the game as seen from Reunion.

First of all I almost did not go because I was going out of town but the bad weather changed my plans. As a result I waited to long to get two tickets together (one for me and one for my son) from ticketmaster so I had to buy from a scalper. The guy wanted 40 bucks for a ticket so I asked for two. He handed me two tickets and I gave him 40 bucks and walked off [IMG] I don't even think he noticed because he was on his cell phone talking to someone when I made the deal. Since the tickets were 15 bucks face value I felt like he got a good deal. Not too bad a start for the night.

When I got to inside I was seated in section 211. There were not a lot of fans there yet but the majority were Rockets fans. That would change shortly after the beggining of the game. I was still impressed by the number of Rockets fans in my section. Unfortunately I had a Mavs fan on both sides of me. My son and some other guy that kept high fiving my son and making fun at me...oh well I used to be married so I have learned how to tune people out.

The firts thing I noticed when I took my seat was someone in streat wearing a blue t-shirt that looked a lot like Cat talking to Bill and Calvin. I kind of new Cat would not be playing at that point.

The second thing I noticed was Hakeem taken practice shots from beyond the arc. Why? Dream you had a great game but next time spend some time at the charity stripe and stay away from the arc, you are not going to be taking too many threes.

Third thing I noticed was Juwan Howard. This guy is really good offensively. The only thing that slowed him down was that he got himself into foul trouble.

Fourth thing I noticed is how clumsy Walt looks handling the ball in person. Is this normal, does it just not show up on TV. I know Walt is still trying to learn the ball is round but he just looked so clumsy tonight.

Last thing I noticed was how banged up Mo looked. I know some people were wondering why Walt started the fourth and played for so long in place of Mo but I really think it was mostly due to his achillies. There were times that he was limping on both legs, but he always seemed to turn it on when play started. He really looked like he was in pain when after he landed on Eisley's foot.

Can someone please tell me if Rudy T is ok. I thought the guy was going to have a stroke when Moochie got called for a tech after he tied up Nash on a jump ball. From that point on it looked like Rudy T was on the verge of being T'd up after every play during that half. And what did Steve get a tech for after he knocked down his first three?

A simple request. Can someone please tell Steve to be a little more carefull when flying thruogh the air. I was headed for the floor when Steve landed on his back in the second half. It looked really bad in person.

All in all it would have been a much better night had the Rox won the game (hit your damn free throws guys) but at least I got to see my team live for the only time this year and got to watch Dream in a Rockets uniform on last time.

This is one we needed to win but I still believe we can make it up somewhere else in the schedule. I still expect 10 wins this month.

To Colby and anyone else at the game I was just curious where you guys sat. I was in Sec 211.

Nice Post. Too bad they didn't win. Hopefully the Mavs and Rockets will meet in the Western Conference finals, and you'll get to see them again!

He was T'd because he said something to Buckner. They were jawing at each other. I thought it was as lame a technical as I've ever seen.

Hey crash5179, I could've come up there and said "hi". I was there at about 5:30. The place was pretty empty at that point, too.

Where were you seated? My section actually had quite a few Rockets fans in it.

    Crash,
You are the most BORING poster I have ever read. Get it through your head........your life does not excite us -- we are hear to talk about the Rockets! I say this half jokingly but please do keep it in mind next time you make a post. Thanks.

You bore the hell out of me WaltSucks. No need to bash other people who post here. Its okay to bash a player or coach now and then, because that's just part of the game, as long as you don't actually bring them down. I bash Rudy now and then, but that's just out of frustration. I'm sure he doesn't give a rat's ass. You, however, are a complete troll. Stop bashing other posters. If you don't, I'm sure you'll be banned.

Waltsucks proves that post counts do matter. Waltsucks, you came here after reading the SI article, so you obviously don't know the etiquette here. Whether you enjoy Crash's posts or not, you have no reason to "half-jokingly" criticize him. You don't like the post, don't respond.

    I was in Section 221.

A couple things I noticed from the game that I hadn't before from television viewing. Moochie is in alot of pain. It seemed like every other possession he was hobbling with that bad arch, maybe he should take a game off or something to rest it.

The Rockets need to work on their FT shooting, I dont know the numbers but it seemed like they missed alot. Even if they make the playoffs, they're FT shooting will come back to haunt them if they don't work on it.

I also have a new sense of pride in the city of houston after visiting dallas. Man that city is terrible, the radio guys are lame, the nightlife is lame, the fans are lame, EVERYTHING'S LAME! I used to dislike Houston, but after seeing Dallas I could spend the rest of my life here.

I'll remember that next time, I will say that I still enjoyed making the road trip to Dallas b/c I needed to get away from my surroundings. (recent breakup with girlfriend) One thing I did like about Dallas was the traffic, it only took me 30 minutes to get into reunion arena from my hotel that was only 10 miles away.

The Band Geek MoBster has spoken. [IMG]

I was at he game too. Section 240. I had a cap and black Rockets T on. A few notes:

Where was Dream late in the fourth? Out of gas? Hope he was not injured.
The Mavs abused us in the lane when Hakeem was out of the game.

    Walt gaurding Finley on ISO's?!

That fall Steve had was painfull looking. I thought he was going to come out.

I still don't know what that T on Steve was for. All in all a poorly fairly lopsided referied (sp?) match.

Did any of ya'll at the game get pissed when they brought out that kid in the Rockets jersey and embarrased him. I thought that was tacky and low. Maybe do that to an adult fan, but not a kid.
I was thuroughly disappointed with the crowd as well.

There were a lot of Rocket fans though! Nice to see all of that Rocket Red!

I thought it was funny what they did. I'm pretty sure they hooked the rockets kid up though afterwards for being a good sport and all.

I was wearing my NOFX t-shirt with a black dickies jacket and spiked hair. Doesn't that scream Rocket's fan? [IMG]

I recently heard that Houston, for this year, has achieved the title of fattest city in America.

Can somebody please tell me how Dallas does not have this honor? The screams of pure joy that shot through that building when Nash hit 100 points were amazing. The game ends seconds later and it is imporssible to move anywhere as everybody in the building is anxiously pushing to get a free chalupa coupon. I mean, Taco Bell chalupas are really not that good. Besides, I thought free food for reaching 100 points only still existed at college bball games.
