Anyone watching? As an Aggie fan, I am not real hopeful about the lead holding up. A defense would be a real nice thing to have.
Well, actually after being at the KState game last week, I meant the Aggie defense. We are so soft in the middle, it is painful. But, A&M is playing with some real heart out there today so far. It has been hard living up to my user name this football season.
As a Longhorn fan, I'm guessing I'm supposed to be rooting for Tech in this one? So that when we play them, they'll have a higher ranking? Plus I don't mind seeing A&M losing.
I remember when I used to root for Tech in this game. Now that they're a big dog and A&M is the under dog, I find myself rooting for the Aggys.
those are two bad defenses....really bad. As a Longhorn fan I want tech to put up 70 on them but a little part of me is starting to feel sorry for the poor aggies. I'm confused.....well I guess I would like to see tech put up 70.
Fun game so far. A am not nearly as big of an Aggie fan as I am a hater of Tech. Mainly do to an array of A-hole coaches and battery throwers.
The poor Aggies who have beaten you guys twice in a row? The game is going much better than expected. We need to keep scoring on EVERY DRIVE, that is the only way we'll stay in this game in the second half.
yeah its almost like watching the game with my friend who is just a casual football fan and kinda knows the rules ... where do they get these guys from?
You have no idea what you are talking about. Do you not understand that national rankings are based in part on point differential? Isn't that why Texas Tech did not move up in the rankings even though they are still undefeated and teams with 1 loss are still ahead of us? Because we barely beat Nebraska? Hell yes. If the system were different, it would not matter. But due to the way they rank teams, I would have done the same thing. So before you click, think.
I did think. Thats a joke of an excuse. A freaking joke excuse. Just like your coach. No credible person pulls that kind of crap. One touchdown does not change a damn thing in the BCS rankings. Take care of business, win the Big 12, thats how you do it. Get your joke excuse the hell out of here.
Hey, calm down, hothead. You act like they shot your dog. Geez, already. This whole anger thing about running up the score is what the joke is. Boo hoo, we got our feelings hurt- they insulted us by running up the score. My son played in a baseball game where they got beat 28 to 2. He's also been involved in a soccer game in which they lost 13 to 0. Both times, I heard "Dad, don't you think they shouldn't have run up the score?" My response both times: "No. If you or your team doesn't like it, do something about it on the field. Stop them. It's games like these that teach you how to lose badly with grace." No whining, no complaining. From game start to game end, you play every time to advance the ball and score. ESPECIALLY in college football. Yes, 1 touchdown does make a difference. I absof**kinlutely guarantee you that had Tech won by 2 touchdowns last week instead of 1, they would have been ranked at least ahead of 1 of the 1-loss teams ahead of us. When you look at the polls, do you see how close the difference is in the points? We're talking miniscule. So, yes, 1 extra touchdown can make a difference. If anyone that follows college football has evidence to dispute this, I'd be glad to listen and gladly change my opinion.
1. Texas (39) 6-0 1,599 2. Alabama (26) 6-0 1,582 3. Penn State 7-0 1,492 4. Oklahoma 5-1 1,306 5. Florida 5-1 1,284 6. USC 4-1 1,247 7. Texas Tech 6-0 1,210 37 points separates Tech from USC. 37. Tech gets 1 more touchdown, that can very easily change. And in the system that is college football, yes, it does matter, and I'm holding that opinion unless someone provides me with proof that point differential has nothing to do with rankings.
