    eh... a 'loosely' based movie...

    the links I posted are closer to the real deal than the movie.

    I am currently at my 2nd Ivy school, and I can tell you that secret societies are pretty prevolent at most of the schools (from what I have experience and heard). Some of them aren't as serious and are much less secretive. However, Skull & Bones and a few others are the real deal. A few have disintegrated into being basically rich kid clubs with few secrets and others have taken the opposite route and have diversified their membership and their goals. Nontheless, there are still a few traditional, secretive ones out there. I find them pretty interesting.
