OK, you've lost me on this one. What does 5/7/77 mean. I'll make a stab. Something to do with the Grateful Dead?

No, it needs a "Shakedown Street."

It's the only good Dead song, ever.

Actually, it's the only good song, ever.

    Shakedown Street!

Thanks for the kind words, SWT. I know you've said that before, so I'll repeat what I said then... I was just lucky enough to be born at the right time, and to take advantage of what was happening. If I deserve any credit, it's being aware enough to take full advantage of what was going on.

Yes, I certainly was a hippie, and somewhere inside I still exist as that person. I had experiences I wouldn't trade for the world, including some that would shock the sensibilities of the vast majority here. I had fun. A lot of fun. I got to meet a bunch of very interesting, loving, creative people, and do things with many of them. So much was new and fresh, and I never felt more alive than I did then. I have only one regret, that it didn't last longer.

Bob*!! I didn't know that site existed. Right now, I'm listening to Steve Stills jammin' in his basement with none other than Jimi Hendrix! How far out is that?? It's on 5/21/68. Look under the S's. Still trying to wade through all this stuff. Some of the sound quality sux, but the one I'm listening to is pretty decent for a basement tape made in '68, when you could cut the air with a knife, no doubt, and heaven knows just what they were up to, lol!

    Good find, thanks.

edit: Jimi is about 10 minutes in.

Pretty sure you'd dig My Morning Jacket live and they're playing now. They are amazing live and they put out the Dead vibe.
