I'm leaning towards NBA2K3, but I have a PS2 so I can't talk about controls. I thought NBA2K2 was much better than Live last year, and thet have improved. Their biggest knock was graphics, and they have improved vastly. Also heard about a double crossover and better post game. More realistic FG%'s and no more stupid goaltending calls. They have ESPN things in it. And I also heard they have Yao Ming as a free agent, so he is in the game. But I will rent both and see what is better for sure.
NBA 2K3 most definitely! NBA Live has revamped everything from the ground up, but I still think they are a distant second. The review of NBA 2K3 on XBox on IGN.com, gave it a pretty good review with an overall score of a 8.9.

Some say that the graphics for NBA Live are more realistic. But the game play for NBA 2k3 are more realistic. Get both! By the way, I have 2k2 on PS2, because I was more interested in realistic game play. The graphics are good enough.
