Bibby's ability to spread the floor will help the Heat a lot, since they can no longer collapse on James and Wade as efficiently as before.

Miami Heat will make noise in the playoffs, that is the truth, but I will reserve my judgment as to HOW much noise they will make.

Playoffs are a different beast, and the Heat may not respond as well in the playoffs.

Noting that teams aren't the same now as say, the beginning or middle of the season, is making excuses? How did the Celtics 3 previous victories help them against Miami today?

Why don't ya look up our record vs the Spurs in 95 in the reg season and report back.

you can go back 100 years, and i'm sure some teams have lost in the regular season and won in the playoffs.... but guess what? The 1995 Rockets were a proven NBA Team.

Miami has not proven jack ****

Dallas beat Miami twice in the regular season the year Miami won a title.

big freaking deal? This Miami team is 3-8 against teams they need to beat in the East.

Lebron has never won jack crap. So there is no, "well they lost, but still won when it mattered"

Lakers, Boston, and Orlando have lost and won when it mattered. = Proven

Logic all types of ass anyway. Those Detroit Pistons teams had lots of experience and were proven champs. Guess who put them out? Yeah the LeBron James led Cavs.

this is a different team. It now has Lebron James as the leader. Lebron James led teams don't win rings.

And a very impressive win over the pistons... but what about the last 2 years? MVP, best regular season record, and two 2nd round chokes.

You're reacting this way to people picking Miami over Boston in the playoffs. Last time I checked that isn't even winning a ring. At the end of the day Boston has more to worry about right now than the Miami Heat.

They lost in the Conf Finals, then the Semi Finals the next year.
Also, Lebron has been to the finals before, as had Wade, so they have plenty of playoff exp.

Also Lebron James Averages in playoffs, 29 Points 8.4 Rebs and 7.3 assists, which is one the all time great playoff stats.

Teams do get better during the year you know.
Miami has got better, and has been playing without 2 of there main bench guys, and still beat Boston. Boston has been getting worse, as they are a old team, who are struggling with the long season.
Miami is starting to Gel as a team, and playing better team ball, and are looking great come the playoffs.

Well, Boston may have won the season series, but they have to rectify some problems entering the playoffs. Namely, Shaq's health, and the offensive woes that have been plaguing them ever since the trade went down. A trade that I still shake my head at.

Yup and this is exactly why a lot of people are starting to take the Heat over Boston in their 2nd round matchup because of Boston struggles. People picking Miami over Boston has less to do with Miami but more to do with Boston just seeming lifeless right now.

Bibby sucks defensively. But he's shooting close to 50% from three since joining Miami and he's a guy who's not afraid to take and make big shots, so I don't see him disappearing in the playoffs.

So, Miami can't beat Boston in the second round because they're only 1-3 against them this year, but Orlando can beat Chicago, even though they're only 1-3 against the Bulls this year?

the playoffs are a different beast. you can't really go off of what happened in the reg season b/c teams don't focus and gameplan for ONE specific team like they do in the playoffs. plus you have 1-2 off days in between every game to really gather your rest so you can go all out.

can't wait. the 2nd round in the east BOTH will be toss-ups.

Agreed. At least we should have some good series from the 2nd round on this year.

As I stated earlier, it's been a lot of lip service for and against teams not named Houston on this board this year. Much more back-n-forth than usual. When the final outcomes are decided don't suddenly dissapear if a team you have been trashing wins the title. Be as vocal then as you are now (no one in particular).
