manny.. those are my feelings.. i supported hakeem because he was a rocket.. he really didn't care much about staying and has sense "bashed" the organization.. so i dont think we stil lhave to be all friendly and loving towards him.. the organization gave him a lot too. .and he sure doesn't act like he appreciates it.. bottom line is that i am a rocket fan.. i root for the rockets and their players.. if they choose to leave.. they generally fall out of the category i root for.. "When the situation became clear, I had a plan to move on and start fresh," Olajuwon said. "Their plan shows ignorance. " I'm not supposed to say anything about a player who bashes the organization i love....
Did I hear the faint heartbeat of a former championship Rocket team last night? I could swear that I could during that last two minutes.
What were they thinking? Tank it! A seriously impressive comeback, though still second to Reggie Miller's steal-the-ball-and-hit-a-three-20-times-in-10-seconds comeback. That one was insane.
"You had to be here, to see it to believe it," Wolves coach Flip Saunders said. "There's no way - you can't lose - not when you're up seven with a minute to go." Oh yes you can. You could even see Kevin Mchale say "Oh My God" in amazement at what was happening. It was awesome. Go Rockets!!
Manny, don't talk about me like I'm a simple-minded child. I've never needed your Hakeem-bashing crap to understand your posts. Look, I have nothing against those who support the team first, and Hakeem second. I am against those of you who have referred to Hakeem as a "whiney b****". I am against the people who boo-ed Hakeem in his return to Houston.
Well, looking at it objectively, Hakeem DID act as whiney b****, considering his constant crticism of not getting the ball enough, not getting enough respect, etc (something he does much much much less in Toronto despite an evne more diminished role and just as pathetic a team, if not more so at this point right now). That point of view doesn't make me a basher, and of course I cheered often when he was in town.
Hakeem is the best all-around center to ever play the game.(period) My question is, how good would this team have been without all of the injuries. Pretty damn I would say!
WFW... Could have fooled me, Tweak. You are also against anyone who felt that it was the team's best interest not to re-sign your hero for the money and years he wanted, but you conveniently forget to mention that.
