Eager to watch, but let's remember that Flair has always lived the gimmick. Impossible to know when he's telling the truth and when he's in kayfabe.
Reallllly don't get the whole wrestling culture. Y'all WWF peeps both fascinate and disgust me, lulz. Wooooooooooooooooo
That's really the whole point the documentary is making - Richard Fliehr turned into Ric Flair after like a year of college and he's been living the gimmick ever since. It's hilarious and sad at the same time.
Nah, the bodybuilder culture at WWE is crap and leads to a lot of talented guys who don't use being passed over for less talented guys who have "the look". The current champion is a guy who literally got fired, did a ton a juice while claiming he "changed his diet", got rehired and was given the belt because he happens to be of Indian descent right as the company is readying a push into India.
Nature Boy is the greatest superstar in the history of the sport. He was the first wrestler to bridge the sports-entertainment gap with his flamboyant personality and exceptional mic skills. The Slick Ric persona was the inspiration of so many future superstars including Shawn Michaels and The Rock.
Yeah, but - and I hope I'm wrong - I think he's getting it back pretty soon. They haven't done their tour of India yet.
