when we shoot 3 point in the court, which player u trust more? I dont know, but when Luther or Battier shoot 3, at least I feel relax. But when Tmac and Alston shoot that, I feel nervous. mine 1. Luther Head 2. Battier 3. Novak 4. Tmac 5. Snyder 6. Alston 7. Lucas 8. Vspan
We don't have any good shooters, compared to other teams in the league. We need a "pure shooter" like Peja, Ray Allen, Hamilton, we do not have a guy that hits the J consistantly.
The salary ranking of the three players you mentioned... - Ray 19th in the NBA - Peja 39th in the NBA - Rip 49th in the NBA Got to stay realistic. We already T-Mac who is the 10th highest paid player and Yao who is the 25th highest paid player. We just don't have the cap space to attract players of this quality.
My list: 1. Head 2. Battier 3. Alston 3. Tmac 4. Novac 5. Lucas 7. Snyder 8. Vspan I think Head is by far our best three point shooter, I think Battier often hits good shots and if he was more aggressive offensively he'd overtake Head, but that's not currently true. Despite the Alston bashing, he's headed for a record number of threes for a Rocket - I'll concede that he doesn't shoot it at a great %, but I still put him at #3. I honestly don't know T-Mac's 3 pt shooting percentage, but I just see him jack up so many threes at bizarre moments...I question his 3 point prowess. Novac should be #1 and I have high hopes that by next year he will be #1, but he's not yet...in the minutes he's had (albiet limited ones) he hasn't shown a good percentage despite his potential. I don't like seeing Lucas shoot a three, but I'd rather see him do it than Snyder...Snyder just needs to take it to the hole. As for V-Span...well, I think he admitted that he's not that type of permiter player.
I agree with that and it scares me re: the long-term success for V-Mac in a Rox uniform. In JVG's offense - and frankly any coach's offense that featured a Yao and a T-Mac - the PG has to be a credible 3-point threat. Those guys just draw so much attention that the rest of the crew has to space and then hit the shot to make the offense click and the defense pay for helping.
No way. Luther is by far our best 3 point shooter. If you give him an inch of space he can rise up and drain it as well as just about anyone in the league. Shane is just a spot up shooter -- open corner and top-of-the three keys off passes are his specialty. Oh, and I'd put Yao ahead of Spanoulis.
Can't put Lucas ahead of Rafer right now...sorry. Lucas is a much better finisher at the basket, but Rafer's 3 point shooting is FAR superior to Lucas's at this point. 38% for the season isn't anything to be scoffed at, especially considering the volume of shots he launches (to the chagrin of many a fan).
