Those guys on the US team are a bunch of prideless jackasses. The fact that they are representing the US is a shame. Gimme a friggin break...sad, very sad.
That's what I was thinking...they gave up. Tisk, tisk... It's almost like the US players said, "If we can't have Gold, we don't want anything." It's like they are saying they are too good for anything else. There are a lot of countries that would have loved 5th place. There are a lot of conntries that would have loved Bronze (although we were out of that after our 2nd loss). It's one thing to have PRIDE. It's another things when that PRIDE chokes you to death.

According to one espn article, Pierce hasn't been a team player. This is supposed to be the dream team. The other Sg, whether it's Miller or Finley should be good enough to fill in against these guys.
LOL! But it's so flippin sad too. Imagine another US team next year sweating it out versus Uruguay or some other -guay just to qualify for the Olympics!
