Yeah, Lang might be fantastic. There was an article about him here locally in the Birmingham News. He actually went to LeBron and LeBron's mother for advice. http://www.al.com/search/index.ssf?/base/sports/1050830474279650.xml?birminghamnews?ssport He has a potentially huge upside. He's also the cousin of Antonio Lang.
Yea Long could be a steal, but he will probubly be gone by then. Anyway we don't need an other center but I would still draft him if he was still there in the 2nd round. Maybe he could slim down around 30 pounds and be a massive 6-11 270 pound power forward.
Jones would be awesome but more then likely will not happen. I hope we don't pick Travis Hansen not with Daniels, Dupree Douglas, Marcus and Slay on the board. But it also depends on trades. As I think whatever we draft will be second string at best but Jones is a MAN and has gotten bettter each year but then again he is from Duke so his College Carreer might not be the best way to judge his pro career.
I think we should get Korver, give us better shooting at 3pt. Let Steve or Yao kick it out to him or Boki and we could spread the defense on the opponents team. Also anyone see the center from San Diego, he is like 6"11 270lbs. i think he was a transfer from Oklahoma State. He broke a backboard or two and almost broke one against Gonzaga this year. I think he would be a good pf, kinda like Brad Miller but not as good on offense but tougher.
Uche Okafer, shot blocking Pf/C! i dunno i like the guy and with EG playin the way he has, i dunno what his future is. But if Villanueva is still there TAKE HIM!!! this kid is 6'9 and is being compared to KG! If he;s there grab him and count your blessings!
Is it really true? Is Lebron James a point guard? he he.... Do the Rockets have a shot at him? I thought at 6-7 he'd be a forward.
Darko Milicic, do anything to get him. Back to reality though, maybe Zoran Planinic a 6'6 pg from Croatia, or Leandrinho Barbosa a 6'3 pg from Brazil, or Slavko Vranes a 7'6(yea put him next to Yao!) C from Serbia.
so with all the chatter about steve moving to the two, here are the top pgs in the draft to fill that gaping whole. maybe we can trade up for someone if we cant sign a good player or nab a late pick. ideal pg would be tall, passes well, can shoot the three ok, fluent in mandarin and doesnt smoke pot. 1. T.J. Ford, Texas 5-10, 165, Sophomore obvious, but if francis moves to sg, could be tough on d 2. Kirk Hinrich, Kansas 6-3, 190, Senior If seniors are out and young kids with 40-inch verticals are in, how does a skinny kid from Iowa sneak into the lottery? Poise. Savvy. Intelligence. A killer jumper. Surprising athleticism. Hinrich has the size, floor vision, ball handling, unselfishness and long-range jumper that scouts beg for in a point guard. While some worry about his strength and lateral quickness, most teams feel he's a lock for the mid-to-late lottery. 3. Leandrinho Barbosa, Brazil* 6-4, 220, 21 years old Considered the best player in Brazil. He's very long and is an explosive athlete. The thing that has scouts buzzing is the speed at which Barbosa plays for someone his size. He's constantly attacking the basket on offense, and aggressively harassing his man on defense. With his long arms (6-foot-10 wingspan) he gets an unusual amount of steals and blocks for a point guard. Only a few teams have actually been to Brazil to see Barbosa play. He averaged 29.6 ppg, 7.8 apg, 4.2 rpg, 2.6 spg and 0.8 bpg while shooting 57 percent from the field, 47 percent from beyond the arc and 85 percent from the free-throw line. Several NBA scouts who have seen him feel he could move into the late lottery with strong workouts. yeah, we need this guy, would easily trade griff for him, (6-10 wingspan!!!!) the kid is sick!!!can a trade be done? 4. Reece Gaines, Louisville 6-6, 205, Senior He's 6-6, has legitimate point-guard skills, is a great athlete and has developed into a legit 3-point marksman. Several scouts used words like "slick" and "savvy" to describe his play. If teams are convinced he can be a full-time point guard in the pros, he's got a great shot at the late lottery. If he they think he's a combo guard, he's looking at a mid-to-late first-round selection. 5. Luke Ridnour, Oregon* 6-2, 185, Junior 6. Maurice Williams, Alabama 6-1, 183, Sophmore 7. Marcus Moore, Washington State 6-6, 208, Junior definetly a prospect 8. Marcus Banks, UNLV 6-2, 200, Senior 9. Zoran Planinic* 6-6, 215, 21 years old was recently injured but has the size 10. Chris Thomas, Notre Dame 6-1, 182, Sophmore 11. Troy Bell, Boston College 6-1, 183, Senior 12. Paccelis Morlende, France 6-3, 190, 21 years old The next Tony Parker? Morlende was actually once ranked higher than Parker in France. 13. Kristaps Valters, Latvia 6-3, 185, 22 years old 14. Jermaine Boyette, Weber State 6-1, 183, Senior 15. Marcus Hatten, St. Johns The line: 6-1, 165, Senior
