They were having this body fat measuring thing at 24 hour fitness, and me being curious signed up for it. To my shock he said I was 25% body fat. I am not ripped or any where close, but 25% just shocked me. I can rep more then my body weight on the bench and can squat way more than my body weight as well. I can do pull ups pretty easily and have a small waist. Most people think I am skinny. Has any one else done this? Are they just messing with me to get me to sign up? I might have to just have to spend the cash and go get a DEXA scan.
At 25%, I think maybe you think other people think you're skinny. But, other people don't really think that.
depends on the method they use, they probably were lying to get you in the gym, cuz if others say you are skinny but 24 hour fitness says you are obese..somethings wrong there..
I had the exact same problem when I took the test at LA Fitness. I'm 5'11 and weigh 180. They said I had 24% body fat and am technically obese. I don't know what to think.
either these body fat numbers they give you are shockingly off or you aren't skinny. 25% body fat is nowhere near skinny. what's you height and weight, how about your waist size?
25% is perfectly normal. I've measured people who looked fat and were only in their high 20s and people who looked really, REALLY skinny but were in their low 20s.. They don't lie to you, they go by NASM standards.
i think u should post a picture of your a$$ and let us decided on whether or not ur obese. Hard to judge buddy.
