That's the record the Rockets WOULD have had, had they beaten the sub-500 teams, the teams they're supposed to beat. Plus, thats not counting the win they should have gotten against Phoenix early in the season (but blew). So, if they had taken care of business and beaten those teams we would be sitting as the 3rd seed in the WC.

    Frustrating...very, very frustrating!

No team is supposed to win every game against sub .500 teams. If that was the case, the Suns would have about 4 more wins. That goes for the Blazers also. The Spurs would have about 5 more wins. The Jazz would have won a few more too.

We would still be the 7th seed.

It will be painful if the team finally misses the playoff bcoz of those games. But, right now, we can only look forward and start to win some games until it's too late.

Well, does the team learn from the mistakes and getting better?

Mediocre teams beat teams they should lose to, and lose to teams they should beat.

Name one team in basketball history that has beaten every sub .500 team on their schedule.

I don't have time to look it up, but possibly the Bulls when they set that record.

They lost to the Toronto Raptors.

Funny how the only team anyone could come up with featured the greatest player in history in his prime, playing on quite possibly one of the greatest teams ever assembled.

I don't think the Rockets are quite there yet.

Remember 2yrs back when the Rockets went 16-0 versus the Central Divison. That was amazing. We were perfect against 11 teams that year.

This year, we are on the verge of becoming dominant. The Rockets can beat the good teams - we know that. We just play down to the weaker teams. This is why I am still not worried about the season because I know we will only get better. If the Rockets can make the playoffs then we will only be playing the best teams, which should bring out the best in the Rockets. When you are the underdog it is easier to execute because you have nothing to lose. But when the Rockets are favored they have trouble executing, again this is a sign of a young team. The second youngest in the NBA, but the 7th best in the West. :)

I don't understand this guy's logic. How do you say they will never be as good as the Rockets because they did not win 2 championships in the past? What if they win 3 championships in the future while Rockets win none? Does that mean Rockets will never be as good as them??

Not even the best teams triumph over every sub-500 team they play, so expecting the Rockets to do just that is a stretch I'll agree. The whole reason it's frustrating though is that they get up for the perennial teams but then play down to the level of the weaker teams...big no, no. And even after they say (in the Chronicle) that they need to stay motivated when playing those teams, they still come out and lose to one. I guess you just have to attribute that to their relative inexperience, youth, immaturity? Whatever the reason, I hope they solve it pretty soon....else come May, they'll be kicking themselves for losing to the Grizzlies and Knicks!

You know, if we had beaten every team against whom we lost this season, we'd be 31-0
