but...but...but...how could they say no to Obama?!

It should be interesting in Rio. You can talk about crime and all, but it's not like the entire city has to be squeeky clean.

Eh, one can quibble. Madrid has some nice parts but it's not Paris. Rio has a nice visual but lots of other issues up close. Tokyo is Tokyo.

LOL! That's a great video of a FAIL: first 'UNDEFINED - Live', and now, CHICAGO no votes fail. :p

FYI, the reason CHICAGO didn't get the vote: EVEN football KING PELĂ© doesn't know if Michael is either Jordan or Jackson. :D

I haven't been to the other cities. But, IMO, Chicago is the most underrated city in America. I think it's beautiful and the infrastructure in Chicago has to be ahead of the other cities in terms of hotels and ready to use sporting venues. The public transportation in Chicago is also pretty good for the U.S.

Most countries probably think of the cities abroad as more spectacular because there's the "been there, done that" aspect to it.

Yo Rio, I'm really happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but the Chicago Olympic bid was the great Olympic bid of all time. OF ALL TIME.

Despite the flashy skyline, you don't play sports in a bunch of skyscrapers.

So, the Olympics should always go to the place with the best facilities?

Yes. He kept going on and on, even calling up Michael Jordan on the phone and saying "COULD YOU IMAGINE HOW ROCKIN THE UNITED CENTER WOULD BE FOR BASKETBALL?!?!?!!!"

He has said the word "shocking" in just about every other sentence.

    Chicago would have been awesome.

But with South American never having hosted the games, and LA and Atlanta being so recent (add Salt Lake and Lake Placid if you include the Winters)-- I'm glad it went to Rio.

Atlanta jumped the line, IMO. Too many great US cities overlooked for the coca-cola Olympics.

The guy on CNN has now compared Chicago's defeat to Mike Tyson getting defeated by Buster Douglas.
