    The talking heads on the news channels are annoying the piss out of me. They are acting completely shocked that Chicago was out first. Weren't all indicators pointing towards Chicago as an extreme long shot?

    eh basically, the got coca cola & othe corporate sponsors to write a massive mega check to the IOC to underwrite the games (probably some Salt lake city esque bribery involved too).

    Agree that ATL really isn't a very good city for the Games though. Wasn't then and never will be.

    i don't know the ticker or where they're traded, but TAM and GOL airlines are both up 4% on the day.
