Win something in short track, the one that actually relies on planning and tactical skills along with speed.

I always get into the Olympics but I hate NBC's coverage it and can't stand that I have to watch the Today Show to get morning highlights.

South Korean Lee Sang-hwa wins the gold for women's 500m! Set the Olympics record and she's also the world record holder three times over. This is one event the Dutch can't take! SUCK IT! :p

I agree. Our version of baseball is korfbal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korfball) 8 times worldchampion (1 time we lost in the finals). Altough I have to say it is a boring verson of Basketball.

The fact that you think those attributes aren't important in long track speed skating is enough to discredit our opinion:p However I really like shorttrack and would have liked to have some good dutch shorttrackers.

    Dutch ClutchFans,

Where does Sven Kramer rank in the pantheon of the greatest Dutch speed skaters?

most underrated part of these olympics has been watching Costas' eyes get progressively worse every night

looks like NBC finally put him out of his misery

Biathlon is the best sport in the history of sports. Endurance plus skill and performance under pressure and physical exhaustion.

Plus it links back to hundreds of years of survival skill.

Best of all time IMHO. Especially if he wins another gold medal on the 10 km. If he didnt make that terrible mistake last winter olympics he would already have a tie for the most gold medals (and he already has most medals in total).

Margot Boer was very happy with her bronze medal. If she would have won this race I would have expected the dutch to win all gold medals in speedskating:grin:

This is turning into one of the best tournaments for the dutch ever. Lets go Michel Mulder and Stefan Groothuis lets take our 4th gold medal today.

And another gold and bronze medal for the dutch skater. The dominance of the Dutch is absurd. With the men we have won 8 of the possible 9 medals so far.

I'm going to give both Shaun White and the winner Iouri Podladtchikov a lot of credit though. They both showed a lot of grace and good sportsmanship. Podladthikov put down a great run and had said before that his goal was to beat Shaun White. When he won though one of the first things he said was that he really wished Shaun White had landed those tricks and how much of an inspiration White is to him. He had all reason to gloat for finally unseating his nemesis but showed some real class. Shaun White in his post race comments has been gracious in defeat and while citing the tough conditions hasn't blamed his loss on them. We think of snowboarding as an in your face all about attitude sport but these guys are handling themselves very well.

Just crazy how much White's snowboard bent. I snowboard and I can't imagine a board bending like that without breaking.

They should mix in some skeet shooting or sporting clays.

So... this is Henrik Harlaut. He's a freestyle skier from Sweden who competed in slopestyle. This guy competes in 4XL gear and carries an uncooked egg in his pocket for his runs, a la Sanka Coffie from Cool Runnings.
