If I could get this in the US, I probably would. It's exactly what I need in a phone, albeit, a bit larger than it needs to be.
night night, nexus. looks like the rumors are coming to fruition. sigh... we'll see how android silver will turn out.
I called that one a while ago. There are just too many features that people will want that aren't included in stock Android, but Google will have to make manufacturers toe the line in how they're implemented.
Any of you affected by the Galaxy S5's camera issues? I was thinking about getting an S5 : http://www.informationweek.com/mobi...mera-problem-samsung-eats-crow/d/d-id/1234898
No problem at all with the camera. Don't buy the leather flip case, it's garbage. I didn't know this cell was waterproof btw
Sucks, but hopefully this silver thing is just as good. The biggest thing I think I'll miss is the price point.
I don't take alot of pictures, but when I tested the camera on my new S5, it worked perfectly and I can easily tell the difference between the new pictures and the ones taken with my old Nexus. Battery life so far beats the hell out of my old phone, I've been messing with it all morning at work and it's only lost 15%. I don't particularly care about how it looks as this isnt a beauty pageant, just about how it performs and so far the performance has been impressive.
I received my s5 yesterday and Im pretty happy with it. Im much more happier with it considering I picked it up for $50 coming in as a new customer. I had the s3 for about a year now. IMO, all I really see are incremental upgrades and I would have been happy with my s3 other than I needed to get away from prepaid and get on LTE. I need to pick up a good case. Im more worried about stepping on it or dropping it. The otter boxes are a bit too big for my taste. Anyone recommend a good one?
I havent made the decision on one yet, just being real ultra careful with it for now. So I also would be interested in hearing some recommendations. One thing I am really pleased with so far, the battery life is the best I have had in a smartphone. I'm not on it every minute from dawn till dusk, but I do use it fairly often and I havent been anywhere near drained in one day. Gonna have to test it to see how long I can get the battery to last. The fingerprint scanner is neat, gotta get used to it tho, it can be touchy.
I dropped my S4 so many times due to the slippery back side that it put a hairline break on the screen. I then bought THIS case and it never slips out of my pocket, and when dropped it protects it like a charm. BTW- Talking about pictures, yes this phone takes AMAZING pictures. Once you figure out the settings, new camera apps, etc. you start to feel like a pro and stuff.
The battery life does seem pretty decent. I put the battery in at 56% when I received it yesterday afternoon and I am at 20% 24 hours later. Even idle, my s3 didn't last that long at all.
Thanks. I picked one up. I hope it helps with water issues. I do a bit of kayaking and I do not want my phone taking a dunk while listening to music.
I know you didnt ask, but I have everything on except for bluetooth. I took it off the charger today at 10(got to sleep in today yay) and it is at 80% with some mildly consistent use all day. Definitely one of the best I have had battery-wise.
So should i wait until September to switch from Sprint to ATT? I currently have an iphone 5 and if i switch now i think ATT will just give me a new iphone 5 if i'm not mistaken. I hate Sprint and want to get out of the contract.
